Can picked up from Mother Kellys Bottle Shop, Homerton, London, consumed at home Sunday 9th October 2016. Shared with Geraint down the office. Pours black, maybe very dark brown with a creamy beige colour head. Creamy mouthfeel, nutty with chocolate and coffee, really smooth easy drinking for the strength. Nice beer. Caramel, dark chocolate, molasses, amaretto (almond) and coffee in the nose. Taste follows the nose but not as intense. Indeed a much thinner body than expected but slightly boozy nonetheless. The upside is it is not overwhelming, not too sweet and super well-balanced. gripweed57 (2463) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - OCT 9, 2016
16 ounce can. Pours an opaque black color with a small creamy tan head. Intense roasted malt aroma. Hints of espresso and almond as well. First sip is intense bitter roasted malt. Notes of espresso and almond liqueur in mid-taste. Bittersweet cocoa and boozy notes in finish. As this warms, it becomes more complex and intriguing. A real sipping brew. The warmer the better for this beer. Mostly get coffee and almonds in this with a hint of vanilla vincentvega72 (758) - Terneuzen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2016
Subliem klein bittertje achteraf. Gevaarlijk drankje want abv niet of nauwelijks waarneembaar. Heerlijk !!

Can (pint) from Good Beers NYC. Beautiful rich nose of vanilla and chocolate. Same continues in smooth rich multilayered palate. Brilliant in every aspect. jsporrer (1028) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2016
Pours a very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of almonds, sweet vanilla, and some notes of coffee. Light carbonation with lots of lacing. Thick creamy texture. Roasted malt taste with some coffee and some sweetness from the vanilla and almonds. Hides the alcohol well. Not my favorite stout but still pretty enjoyable. Pitch black color, small, quickly diminishing brown head. Sweet aromas of raisins, molasses, chocolate, some coffee and almonds. Sweet taste of pastries, chocolate, vanilla, coffee and cinnamon. Very sweet, never unbalanced. Solid. thepatrickman (1358) - Jevington, East Sussex, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2016
Can at home. This was a surprise -- despite hearing great things about this beer, it was really thin and there was a distinct tartness from the lower pH from the dark malts. The cocoa and almond aromas helped deepen everything, but it still was just a middle-of-the-pack imperial stout. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2016
Pours black with a small mocha head that quickly dissipated into a thin film. Aroma is dark chocolate, roast, coffee, vanilla and toffee. Taste is sweet with mild bitters. Full bodied with an oily almost creamy texture. Soft carbonation and overall a great stout that maintains a great balance by never becoming to sweet.
