The Roman Empire had a certain je ne sais quoi festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen thats still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Bomber from Belmont. Pours a wonderful view of jet black colors with a large dark brown head. A big dark fruit nose with rich milky chocolate and coffee. Excellent flavor dominated by dark fruit, very oily thick creamy palate, coffee, heavy roasted coffee, tons of dark chocolate, plum, dry earthy cocoa, more chocolate. Huge beer. The brew comes together will of the the goodness of a top notch Impy. Hmm. More coffee and chocolate than Expy but still a ton of fruit. Excellent. Vanilla, even some hazelnut.

Bottle from Malt & Vine

Black pour, brown highlights, no head to speak of. Aroma of coffee and cigar ash. Flavor is a disappointment: sticky-sweet and alcoholic, more like cough syrup than liquor. Over-sweetened canned coffee vanilla. 100/100 on this site? What a letdown! I cant drink this stuff.

From a 650ml brown bottle. Jet black and thick looking pour. Thin foam on top, dark brown, some spotty lacing. Nose has dark choclate/cocoa and cookie malts. Taste has strong cocoa/dark choclate, some bitterness. Roasty, dark bitter chocolate in the finish. Medium body. Solid strong chocolately porter.

22 oz. bottle served in a . Thanks to bentenison for the brew. A: Pours a dark black color with a dark tan head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin film with a slightly thicker collar. Sheets of lace. S: Theres a whole ton going on. Espresso sweetness, almost like a warm chocolate milk. Heavy doughy cookie, roasted malts and big bakers chocolate. Very faint green paper as it warms, but overall it doesnt detract too much from the smell. Very nice. T: Warming alcohol on the backend, but its not over or noticeable which is nice. Chocolate covered espresso beans with a roasted malt and soft cookie sweetness. The finish has some bitter roast and some M: Silky and oily. Medium to heavy bodied with a medium low carbonation. Really nice. O: Great mouthfeel with a wonderful blend of flavors. Very nice overall and would definitely have again. Serving type: bottle 08-23-2013

Pours a rich deep brown color with a big frothy two finger tan foam. The nose is roasted chocolate, coffee and a touch of vanilla. The palate is very well balanced with a smooth creamy mouthfeel... bread like backbone that is a great platform for the sweet but restrained flavors of cocoa, touch of spent coffee grounds, vanilla bean, molasses. Nice Beer !

Bottle from systembolaget. Really nice roasted aroma, full of malt, chocolate and vanilla, the almond can also be found if you look for it. Really heavy in milk chocolate and coffe in the taste. The vanilla and almond is there as well but take a backseat to the intense milk chocolate and coffe. medium/heavy in body with a chocolate coffe combo in the finish. After the coffe and chocolate clings of there is a nice bitterness still lingering. Fantastic beer, a bit to sweet but really nice
