COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Roman Empire had a certain je ne sais quoi festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen thats still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Bottle, 1 pint 6 fl.oz. @Naintre, with my dad. A sparkling pitch black beer with a medium oily brown beige creamy head ; medium retention. Black chocolate, coffee icecream, roast, toast, vanilla note. Medium round sweet, light dry warming. Light to medium body, creamy texture, flat, dry chocolate sweet finish. Overall, really good ; lack of body and wingspan.

appearance: near black, with a frothy, creamy light tan head that lingered for the entire glass, unusual in a high-abv beer like this, and impressive. aroma: strong nose of dark chocolate, vanilla, burnt sugar, almond extract, toast. taste: syrupy aspartame-laden chocolate and almond extract, with burnt vanilla, a spoonful of slightly sour lactic sweetness, an off-putting lemon zest zing, and a boozy note that started off very well-hidden and slowly morphed into a sinister, vomitous burn at the back of my throat. finish: palate was both somehow too boozy and hot, but also too light and watery feeling; not sure how they pulled of that bi-fecta. notes: Wretched. Bad tallboy? Hard to say, no best-by date. This beer is bullshit, and was substantially improved when, loathe to waste the back half of what had been a $5 can (come on, Quench!), I added half a cup of Great Divide Yeti to it. Can from Quench in Silver Spring.

Tap. Light yellow-brown head and very dark brown, almost black colour. The rich aroma is inviting and has mmmi, strong espresso and raw cocoa. Palate is perfectly smooth and light, very pleasant, perfect. Taste has strong coffee/espresso and dark chocolate, but theres also a very sweet undernote that has flavours such as berry yoghurt chocolate, marshmallow, marsipan, tiramisu and Cointreau. This is like liquid dessert. Very rich, very delicious, very sweet, but not overly so. An excellent stout. 0.5 liters of this is a bit too much though, because the taste is so rich that 0.2 liters would be enough.

Tap. Pitch black, frothy brown foam. Strong coffee aroma with very weird scent, like chilli. than vanilla, cinnamon, biscuits, cocoa, licorice, almonds. Mainly bitter little sour and sweet. Full body, oily, long bitter finish with alcohol aftertaste.

Can - black pour - nose of chocolate, espresso, vanilla - slick mouthfeel - espresso, chocolate, smoke, booze - really rough, actually, but tasty enough.

Can from, at and shared with Rickfifty. Nice to enjoy an Evil Twin Imperial * Break together again! Pours black with a dark brown hue. Close to no head. Marzipan, alcohol, fruit nose. Some cherry, Maraschino cherry. Roasted malt, vanilla, almonds, marzipan flavour. Quite a lot of others as well, complex. Quite sweet, some bitterness. Thick, oily body. Medium, fizzy carbonation. Very good, would definitly buy some if I could get my hands on some more cans! Thanks for saving half a can for me, Rick!

Large can poured briskly into glass. Nearly opaque black color with just a hint of red when held up to bright light. One-inch tan foamy head. Some lacing. Aroma: black coffee, chocolate chip cookie dough, hazelnuts. Flavor: espresso, milk chocolate, vanilla beans, Frangelico, smoked black patent malt. Intense sweetness throughout and lingering, which was too cloyingly sweet for my taste buds. Mouthfeel is silky, smooth.

On tap @ beer attraction Rimini. Marrone scuro, velata, schiuma beige finissima e persistente.aroma intenso fruttato, frutta secca, mandorla e nocciole, tostato, caff solubile e cacao amaro, pastafrolla e zucchero di canna.

Coffee, brown sugar, & roasted malt aromas up front with vanilla & almonds very much in the background. Arrives with coffee sweetened with brown sugar or honey. Develops into a light, sweet almond note similar to amaretto. Ends on roasted malt, milk chocolate, vanilla, and a small kick of booze; lingering notes of coffee & vanilla in aftertaste. Full, slick body with medium carb. Really awesome flavored imperial stout, but it leans a bit on the dessert side. After warming up, amaretto notes start to take over while still offering an additional dark fruit note in aroma & taste. Coming towards room temp, it shows off more of the chocolate note. Very complex!

From notes. 0,3l from tap at Harrys, Jyvskyl. Aroma of a lot of chocolate, vanilla, nuts, molasses, malts, roasted but not too roasted, sweetness. Balancing bitterness, a bit dry taste, mediumish body, sweet roasty aftertaste. Alcohol isnt much present at all.
