COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Pitch black. Concentrated aroma of espresso and almond cake. Mid sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Gently warming with a facninating, intense flavour of coffee, licorice and almonds. Mid bitter finish where some cherry brandy shines through. Moreish.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - huge thanks to Bruce for pulling out one of my biggest wants. Pours oily black with a creamy, beige head. Big, bitter dark chocolate aroma. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with dark chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, dark and well toasted bread, mellow earthy bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation, lightly chewy. Moderately warming on the finish with rich, sweet chocolate character, cake, low bitterness. Great balance. Delicious.
