COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

THis oddly named beer pours inky near black brown with no discernable head. Nose is sweet molasses and just a hint of bread. Taste is sweet malt with some mineral on the front. Medium bitters mild roast nut flavor. finishes with some residual sweetness. High alcohol, but not that apparent other than some initial sweetness. body full, satin, fluid.

Can @Bir&Fud Bottega (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma media color cappuccino. Al naso sentori di caffè, cioccolato, vaniglia, alcol, liquirizia, leggerissima nota metallica. In bocca è equilibrata, caffettosa con note di vaniglia. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Buona.

Pours a pitch black body, tan head that is 1/2 inch. Lacing is lacking, head retention is ok. Smell is big on sweet vanilla, almond/amaretto, syrupy malt and alcohol. Light coffee is present but no hops. Taste is big on roasted dark malts. Sweet and syrupy like a doppelbock, coffee adds some acidity on the backend. Flavor of vanilla beans become apparent as beer warms, alcohol is apparent. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and there is good carbonation. Alcohol warms the palate, sweet malts counter acidic coffee. Overall a good beer but 100% the flavors of biscotti. Would like to see more coffee in it, interested in trying the other variants.

Pours pitch black with one pinky finger thick, tan head. Just from the pouring I can notice a quite dense body. As I lean over the glass I'm struck by an intese, almost tingling, aroma of... freshly cut bell pepper!? Yes, indeed and after a while I got creamy whole milk, chocolate and vanilla, mixed with some genlty roasted coffee beans notes and a tiny bit of alcohol too. Taste is very sweet: chocolate, vanilla, spicy and a tad smoky raw peppers again, and a wonderful rounded buttery, biscuity mouthfeel in the finish, all blended with grace and controlled by a light roasted coffee beans notes. Then there's that subtle nuttiness, the special ingredient that brings everything to the next level. Mouthfeel is great too. Dense, syrupy, creamy full body and low carbonated. Every sip leave my lips sticky! I would not say this is a drinkable beer, not in the way I could for a tasty IPA, but I never get sick of it. Even though it's clearly a liquid dessert, I believe this is more suitable than the stuff by Mikkeller (i.e. Vanilla or Maple Shake) for people who can't stand super sweet beers. I think and the quantity (1 American Pint can, 47.3 cl, batch #009 in this case) is appropriate, but I could drink a 65 cl bottle by myself probably. Overall WOW, just WOW.

App: black, no head. Aroma: mainly coffee and dark chocolate, almond notes present. Taste: loads of dark chocolate, also coffee, with almond and some vanilla notes. Palate: low carbonation, rather dry (I would prefer something sweeter), body is also too light to my taste, unfortunately with alcoholic finish. Overall: It's okay, but nothing more than that. I was expecting so much more...

Pours nearly black with a thick head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is rich vanilla, with a hint of toffee. Taste is sweet caramel and nuttiness, moving to vanilla and espresso. Finish is smooth almond. A really good stout.

Fajny bogaty aromat, czekolada, marcepan, lekkie Alko, wanilia. Nieprzejrzyście czarne, piana szybko opada.w smaku kawowo, srednioniska palona goryczka, wysycenie srednie, w tle czekolada i nuty wanili, generalnie trochę słabiej niż w aromacie, i lekko wychodzi Alko. Warto spróbować.

Bebum (1126) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 6, 2018
Opaque brown, fine, tanned mousse. Intense nose as you open the can. Full body, not so smooth texture as one would expect, rich flavor which dies out quickly, burning hot mouthfeel, average length, Sharp, moderately bittersweet, Chocolate and coffee predominate but hops are not far. Rather simple flavor profile, Excessively alcoholic but a very good stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
