Black pour with a 3 finger, creamy brown head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is big on roast, bittersweet chocolate and dark caramel, doughy bready yeast notes, some doughnut glaze- sweet smell. Flavor is full of chocolate and roast nuts right away, some coffee, earth, dry, woody notes, a hint of smoke, some light resinous hops and that nice, doughnut -bready, toasty and lightly yeasty- and glaze, to the finish. Heavy body, creamy to chewy feel, light, but blanketing and somewhat sharp carbonation. Really, really good overall, for as big and rich as it is it really isn’t very boozy and it’s very approachable. Delicious.

The aroma is full of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, sugar, nuts and caramel. The color is pitch black and the head is khaki colored. The taste is full of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, sugar, nuts, caramel and cocoa nibs. A nice beer!

The aroma is malt, roasty, coffee. Pours dark brown/amber with beige head mostly diminishing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. Very nice Porter.

Single from greens. Super sweet. Lots of toffee Nilla and caramel. Creamy texture. A little hot as it warms. Perfect dessert beer.

Pounder->nonic. Near black with small lite brown head. A: coffee, toffee, vanilla, ash. T: brighter on front, with sweet vanilla over coffee, then some bitterness comes on, and leaves bittersweet end.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a medium size dark brown foamy head with light retention with some very light lacing notes. Aroma of residual sugar notes is quite dominant with some light boozy notes. Taste is a mix of sweet black chocolates notes, with some sweet adjunct and a boozy finale. Body is full with oily texture and light carbonation. Too sweet with some adjunct that are more or less interesting.

Comunque ottima

A 22oz bomber with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter. It was black in colour with a half finger brown head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some sparse spotty lacing. Aromas of sweet doughy doughnuts, banana bread, milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, brown sugar and marshmallow. Taste of sweet doughnut to start, followed by milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar and vanilla. There is only perhaps a very light dark chocolate bitterness on the finish. Creamy, medium bodied with low carbonation. Overall this was sweet, not too sweet as to put me off at the beginning, but definitely approaching my limit the more I drank with a whole bomber. Would definitely prefer it in a smaller 330ml bottle.
