Black pour with a 3 finger, creamy brown head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is big on roast, bittersweet chocolate and dark caramel, doughy bready yeast notes, some doughnut glaze- sweet smell. Flavor is full of chocolate and roast nuts right away, some coffee, earth, dry, woody notes, a hint of smoke, some light resinous hops and that nice, doughnut -bready, toasty and lightly yeasty- and glaze, to the finish. Heavy body, creamy to chewy feel, light, but blanketing and somewhat sharp carbonation. Really, really good overall, for as big and rich as it is it really isn’t very boozy and it’s very approachable. Delicious.

Bottle. Pours deep opaque black with a small, staying creamy beige film head. Aroma has sweet malts, chocolate, fat sugars, candy, light coffee. Low carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good coffee, chocolate, luscious, nuts, light vinious, vanilla. Good malty bitterness. Very lovely.

backlog ocena przepisana z untapped w ramach uzupełnienia profilu.

Czuc paczki! Czekolada i przyprawy fajnie sie lacza z owocowa slodycza i orzechami. Niskie wysycenie i palona goryczka jako kontra do ogromnej ilosci slodyczy. Nie smakuje jak Porter tylko raczej jak Imperialny Stout. Swietnie ulozone z ukrytym alkoholem i gladka konsystencja.

Coffee, lots of chocolate, some licorice, cookie. Oily black color, small fast-dying brown head. Taste is more to milk chocolate than bitter chocolate side. Aftertaste is like maple syrup. Full bodied, extremely flat, oily texture. Great.

Very nice aroma of poppyseed cake with lots of spices and decent background of chocolate and a bit of roasted malts. Lots of sweetness, frosting, some sweet spices and chocolate on the tongue. A bit onedimensional, but very enjoyable (not for those who dislike sweetness in beer - there’s huge amount of it in there and its not really countered by anything)

Appearance: Deep rich brown black with a finger of tan medium to small bubbles Nose: Rich dark cocoa with hints of mineral. Taste: More of the nose. Rich cocoa flavor with a bit of a mineral finish. Bits of anise and plum as well. interesting. ABV a little more evident in this offering Body: Full and round. Parting thoughts: I just noticed this was technically an Imperial porter. I’d have never guessed. Quite Imperial stout ish. Again the mineral hint takes me off my game though. it’s an aspect I can’t help but notice, apparently, and do not favor.

Bottle at Sori Taproom. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with chocolate, toffee, nuts, a bit of coffee, licorice and dark fruits. Bitter finish with roasted malts, nuts, chocolate, licorice, dark fruits, toffee and coffee. Excellent imperial stout.
