Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2.Cloudy brown beer, residual tan head. Light crisp palate. Minerals, Mild sourness, generic fruits. Crisp finish with just a whisper of vinegar. Not bad.
On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours cloudy red-brown with a fine, white cream head. Some doughy notes in the nose, hints of blueberries. Light sweet flavor with moderate sharp tart berries, light butter notes. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty crisp on the finish with very faint blueberries, decent tartness. Not bad overall. Kind of sloppy in some ways (especially the diacetyl presence), but better in others. mcberko (18556) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 24, 2013
22 oz. bottle, pours an opaque pink-tinted amber orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma of wheat, some tartness, and moderate blueberries. Flavour brings out subtle tart blueberries, wheat and more tartness. Quite thick on the palate for a Berliner. Drinks easily but not the most refreshing for the style. Decent. jtclockwork (17068) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Bottle at Torst. Pours purple. White head. Nose and taste of blueberry, tart fruit, light funk, red wine, wheat malt and earthy berry. Medium body. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Dark purple pour with an off-white head. There is a nice blueberry nose and some tart lemon, a bit of yogurt, and grass. But, there’s a definite diacetyl aroma to it as well. Good blueberry flavor and lactic tartness. Some yogurt, grass, and mild bacterial funk. Flavor seems to be lacking the diacetyl.
