COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clever woman once said; ífair is foul and foul is fairí. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. Thatís why we name Evil Twin Brewingís Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with medium white head. Candy, malt, aromatic hops in aroma. Bready malt, candies, citrus hops in taste. Good.

Color anaranjado algo turbio con espuma blanca uniforme. Aromas suaves de hierba y malta. Textura ligera, melosa y fresca con un inicio que recuerda vagamente al azķcar moreno y un amargor final seco y herbal. Rica pils.

Straw yellow, cloudier than most. Fluffy head in a thin pilsner glass, with a tall crown of lace. The carbonation doesnít really show up until you swirl that baby around. The aroma is Euro malts, but at least it is barley and nice Rice Krispies. Itís crisp and slightly sweet. The hop is incredibly mild, but pleasant enough. There isnít much you can do with a pils. The flavor is sweet malts, but again, remarkably free of adjuncts. The hop reminds me of the kind of hop you might see in 1979 when someone gave you a "hoppy" beer. And thatís a good thing. Would have been a wonderful gateway beer in the Carter administration. The feel is foamy; medium bodied. If all pilsners could be this crisp and free of corn syrup, we might have an actual beer culture among the hoi polloi in this country. Though you canít do a whole lot with a pilsner, itís a pretty good one.

Fizzy straw colored pour with a nice ivory crowns. Citrus, cereal, honey, and Saltines. Highly drinkable, not at all complex. The brewers description is dead on. Meh.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 10/23/2013. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, light pepper, herbal, and floral/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt, hop, and clean yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, floral, grass, light pine, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, floral, grass, light pine, cracker, bread, light honey and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of hop and malt flavors with minimal yeast ester presence; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice hoppy pilsner style. All around nice balance and robustness of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a hazy light golden color with a bone white head with decent lacing. Aroma of grain, cracker malt and some grassy hops. Taste is more flavorful than macro pilsner with a mild graininess along with some honeyed biscuit sweetness and breadiness. Mild but decent amount of grassy bitterness also for a pilsner. Finishes dry with a bit of bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp with a light/medium body and moderate carbonation. Very drinkable and clean. My kind of Pilsner. Would drink again.

PorterPounder (7889) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Panama City Beach, Fl - Kwiker Liquors #2 - 12 oz bottle. Murky dark golden pour with excellent bubble action and a thick sticky snow white head, nice sticky lacing. Aroma has some sweet honey accents, a touch of yeast and some sweet cake mix. Flavor has some sweet honey notes, a touch of nuttiness, some pear-like fruitiness, a touch of yeast. Thickish mouthfeel for a pils. Pretty solid.

Sammy (12091) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2014
On tap at Torst. A hoppy Americanized version of a pilsner, not the more authentic FIrestone version. Lots of lace and head. Saaz hops really come through.

can. Golden with one finger head. Pilsner with nice hoppy finish. Very crisp and clean flavor. Nice take on the pilsner style.
