A clever woman once said; fair is foul and foul is fair. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. Thats why we name Evil Twin Brewings Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Crisp golden coloured body with a two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of light malt, some metal and hints of apples and pear sweetness. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a pungent and bright maltiness, some cardboard and grain flavours and a little fruity sweetness at the end. Aftertaste is crisp and dry with yeast, mellow spices and some herbal tastes sneaking in. Overall, a very nice pils with a light and airy flavour and a hint of metallic notes, but very good, just expensive. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia and given to me by Kevin in November 2013 - Thanks Kev!

Cloudy golden color, large rocky head, amazing lace and retention. Despite an overflowing head, looking at it is fun stuff and Im not sure what else you could expect from a Pilsner. I rarely give 5/5 but this is fully worthy. Aroma is like a golden/blonde ale, notes of lighter fruit, grass, pale malt, sea air. Light bodied, complex, very drinkable. Amazing.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a HUGE, too big, white head that diminishes much too slowly but leaves excellent lacing. Body is light to watery, carbonation is fizzy at first but diminishes to soft after the head is gone, oily to thin texture, lightly bitter and lightly sweet taste. Not big on flavor-reminds me of all too many mainstream American beers. This beer is kind of limp.

Bottle. The look is a lacing white head, clear look, and golden in color. The smell is grain, perfume, cereal, and ok. The taste is cereal, chex, grainy, and crisp.

12oz bottle via secret santa pours a hazy golden with a small white head and some yeast floaters. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, with pilsner malt and yeast. Nothing really stands out in the taste here, bland. Bottled 7/13/13 not the freshest bottle.

Bottle from Champanes, this lager had a gold pour that was a little hazy and presented a white cover that was more than a fingers worth, it left nice spots and rings of lacing on the sides of the glass, the aromas had nice malt with faint bread notes, grass hops and faint lemon citrus, there was very faint powdered sugar sweetness in the background, it had flavors of pilsner like malt, bread and grass hops, and there was a touch of lemon, the finish had a good bitterness and was a little grainy, there was little to no sweetness, probably more bitterness than your typical pilsner, the mouth feel had some creaminess, it was light and had average carbonation a lager with more hops than your typical pilsner, it was a nice drink but a little too expensive when there are other great pilsners available at a much better price.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small fizzy head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is a mix of sweet cereal grain, skunk, and flowers. Taste is very hoppy and a bit harsh. Huge floral, herbal, and spicy hops, some light fruitiness. Finish is very dry and very bitter. Interesting pilsner but kinda hard to drink.

On tap at 28 Springs thanks to Casey. Pours a straw yellow with some haze. Two fingers of head. Some corn. Slightly grassy. Very nice beer and not a big fan of the style.

BeerAdvent Day 23. Santas gnomes are coming! Pours hazy straw with white head. Nose is extreme floral with some lemon and pils malt. Flavour is floral, hay, pils malt, great crisp finish. Occasionally a great light lager comes along, this is one of them. Loved it.
