Named after an antagonist movie character with a violent temper and a propensity for drooling, furthermore brewed amongst mad-ish Scottish dogs. Nevertheless is this beer far from mad itself. You’ll find it a very pleasant, peaceful and a loyal Pale Ale – woof.

Aroma: Smelling toffee, butter scotch, honey, pine needles, resin, grape-fruit.
Appearance: A clear amber brew with an off-white head leaving little lacing and small curtains.
Taste: A taste of loaf of bread, then citric, grape-fruit peel.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, fresh with a small body, a dry finish.
Overall: A fresh, nice, hoppy APA.
Note: On-tap at De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2012-08-11.

Hmm, some light hops in the aroma, but also some sour tinniness. This has a sharp dry taste up front with some lingering fruitiness but I’m also getting that metallic character in the body as well. Unfortunately disappointed in this one.

330. Pours a hazy burnished medium amber with a loose white head. Light spotty lace. Mild orange and mango nose, also grapefruit. Mix of fruity and pithy. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toast, caramel, and grapefruit mid palate. Mild finish. Very nicely done, but not a ton of flavor.

Bottle @ Haket Gothenburg: Clear red cobbery colour, with a nice head. Aroma is dominated of citrus fruits, sweet maltynes and some pommery, clementain ending. flavor had a nice sweet mouthfeeking, lots of citrus, and abalanced maltynes, Medium fruity finish.

Bottle. Pours a deep orange/brown with a dissipating white head. Aroma of white wine, English hops, English malts, toffee, oranges. Flavour is very very subtle - almost to the point of it tasting like sparkling water! Very light hints of above-mentionned qualities. Not a lot to say about this since there isn’t much to comment on. Very low complexity, very high acidity. Probably best described as a "nothing thing". Oh dear Evil Twin.

mcberko (18390) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2012
12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of biscuity malts, some dank herbal notes, more English-smelling than American in terms of the hops. Flavour is bland as hell, almost no discernible flavours - like sparkling water, with very subtle hints of what was detected on the nose. Gets a big metallic with each successive sip. This is unusually sub-par for Evil Twin. Not good at all.

Taste at Papsoe’s Lightly hopped pale ale. Fairly standard in color, muted nose, piney spicy hops. Decent beer.
