Bottle 330ml. @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TFODRBSG11.
Light unclear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, orange - citrus, peach, light pine. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, alcohol, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is pinewood and dry grapefruity to leathery hoppy. Thick malty, dense almost syrupy sweet and solid hoppy. Thick pinewood and dry grapefruity flavoured hoppy. Good balance between hops and sweet, light to the sweet site. Thick mouthfeel/fullbodied. Bitter, alcohol and dense hoppy finish. Ends dry and lasting dense hops fruity. Tasty but a bit too heavy for me, more a triple IPA than double. Ungstrup (37889) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2011
Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes hops, lemons, and over ripe peaches. The flavor is sweet with notes of peaches, yellow plums, hops, lemons, a bit of malt, leading to a very bitter finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue lightly. joergen (28425) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2011

Bar, Copenhagen (Aug 8th, 2011). Last beer during my 6 hour "stop" at Copenhagen after GBBF etc. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is citrus fruits, some tropical fruits, mild alcohol, some quite strong maltyness carrying it up as well. Flavour is rather much the same in a very pleasant balance. Although very bitter, it’s rather balanced at the same time. And for being 13 % it is surprisingly easy to drink. A did feel rather tipsy going back to the airport though...
Bottle. Hazy golden yellow color, white head. Aroma of mixed citrus and pine. Taste has sticky pine resin. Definitely a sipper. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2011
On tap. Pours a hazy golden with a white and lacing head. Intense hop aroma - almost herbal, but no distinct hop stand out really. Very rich body, sweet malts, sweet fruitiness again with this herbal hoppiness - this is what I usually call hop soup. Roaring booze in the finish with plenty of hop kick - but lacking focus in the hop bill. Normally Double IPA’s should be consumed fresh, but I actually think it would be fun to try this when things have mellowed down a bit. 070811 madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2013

Very hazy gold - amber beer. Tidy white head. Smooth and semi dry palate. Obvious alcohol dries it out further. Strong pale malt with obvious grain and more alcohol. A little malt cream. Marmalade and citrus bitter hops. Dry warming finish. It’s okay but there is just not enough flavour for all this obvious alcohol. Drinkable.
tap at brewdog ... hazy amber ... white head ... sweet orange grapefruit hop nose ... little over cold... littl over fizzy ... big sweet orange front ... some orange zezty ... sweet creamy malt background that im not so fond of ... light bitterness ...
