50cl bottle at BRU, shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Deep mahogany with a tan head. Sweet candy sugar like aroma with burnt sugar, caramel, malt, dark dried fruits and just hints of spices. Sweet and sugary with flavour of raisins and a very mild bitternes. Quite nice, but still a bit too sweet. Arve_Christian (5138) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 27, 2013

Pretty good stuff although too expensive for the style. Nice dark pour with a decent head but no retention. Nose of dark fruit, sweet malt, and yeast. Taste follows the nose with a little candied fruit mixed in. Sweet but not cloying in the least. HenryXXX (205) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 20, 2013
The sweet brown sugar am molasses. The pallet is sugar cane, molasses without all the dark fruit and caramelization. There are subtle notes of date, raisin, and licorice.

Ruby brown with a small pale head. Aroma is brown sugar, dates, maple syrup, bread & butter pudding. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, medium bodied, sweet on the palate but not overpowering, short finish. Taste is brown sugar, dates, raisins, bread & butter pudding. Strykzone (7355) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Pint bottle. Dark brown with a tan active head that dissipates quickly but leaves a half inch of foam. The aroma suggest super sweetness with chocolate and alcohol. The flavor is interestingly fruity and very sweet with a different kind of sweetness that is kind of like toffee. Alcohol is tasted. This is interesting and is indeed super sweet. Some kind of hop bitterness would be a welcome addition. Not quite cloying sweetness but too close for me. zvikar (6149) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - FEB 6, 2013
Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks troubles. Pours deep red with a beige to brown head, aroma of toffee, honey, molasses, vanilla, some caramel, flavor of fruit juice, toffee, fruit acids, glue, medium bodied Ratman197 (14822) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 2, 2013
500 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of toffee, tobacco, brown sugar and dried fruit. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, dried fruit, brown sugar and light spice with a smooth dry lingering dried fruit finish. madmitch76 (24789) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2013

Opaque black - brown beer, small tan head. Nose of dark malt and sugary bubblegum. Light palate, a little silky. Sweet malt and sweet molasses. Mild lactose and mildly spiced bubblegum. Finishes smooth with minerals. Fresh tasting but a little but much with the malty sweetness. Needs some hop relief.
