500. Pours a fairly clear dark brown with a loose light tan head that doesn’t stick around. Big molasses and brown sugar nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Molasses and brown sugar mid palate. Not too much else happening, but tasty nevertheless--balanced, and not cloying. Good beer. lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 26, 2011

Pours a dark amber colour with a thick, white head. Aroma of smooth brown sugar, slightly toasted malts and toffee. Very smooth flavour of toasted malts, brown sugar, candi sugar, toffee, some hops. Full bodied, very smooth mouthfeel and a long, warming, smooth and sweet finish. Overall a very smooth beer with loads of sweetness, but it doesn’t disturb here.
Pint bottle. Dark brown with a tan active head that dissipates quickly but leaves a half inch of foam. The aroma suggest super sweetness with chocolate and alcohol. The flavor is interestingly fruity and very sweet with a different kind of sweetness that is kind of like toffee. Alcohol is tasted. This is interesting and is indeed super sweet. Some kind of hop bitterness would be a welcome addition. Not quite cloying sweetness but too close for me. Geokkjer (7647) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 20, 2011

deep amber with a small off-white head.Aroma of red berries, malt, yeast, spice and sugar.Flavor is sweet and malty with some spicy notes.Medium body, average carbonation.Good beer.
Bottled @ home. Clear reddish brown color, short head. Aroma of rich sugar, some ripe fruit, caramel malts, raisin. Only slight spicy from the yeast. Taste is quite sweet, bit dry, slight nutty. The belgian yeast is obvious, but not overwhelming and lets the sugary notes shine, the way they probably intended to be. Carbonation is quite low for a belgian style, which is perfect for me, coz usually they blow up in your stomach. Despite the sticky tooth, reasonably easy drinkable that way. Im not a fan of pretty sweet beers, but Im enjoying this one!

Bottle @ home. Ruby red to brown volour with a creamy beige head. Smells malts, iron and some syruppy sweetness. Tastes quite sweet, coffee, mocca, dark chocolate, caramel. Very rich flavour. Slightly roasty also, but different than a stout. Also a bit like a quadrupel. Full body, soft carbo.
