Courtesy of rlgk. Pours deep redish mahogany with a nice bubbly tanned head leaving lace. Aroma is sweet, fruity, malty, a bit phenolic, bready. Flavor is very sweet, fruity, malty, raisins, madeira and bitter. Finishes sweet bitter. CanIHave4Beers (4236) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - DEC 4, 2012
Pours a deep reddish brown color with a small head that goes away fairly bit of ease.Aniela (4215) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 3, 2015
The aroma is molasses and cinnamon up front. Some brown sugar, pear and fruit cake show more prominently as it warms.
The flavor is spicy and sweet, but not over-sweet... really. Rich flavors of molasses and dark fruit along with brighter cherry and pear fruit notes. The more it warms the more the soft nuttiness comes through, which is really really nice.
Bottle in Ulfborg, Denmark 2015-02-27. Murky brown with a small offwhite head. The aroma was better than the flavour, a bit odd beer, Feels a bit venous.

(bottle - 500 ml) Murky brown with a thin tan head. Very mild, almost non-existent, aroma. Some light malts and not much else. Mild flavor. Some light malts and a touch of sweetness with a hint of bitterness at the end. Alright.

Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, dried fruit, sweetness, licorice, yeast and alcohol. The flavor follows the nose. The palaye is sweetness with alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer. Maverick34 (3389) - New York, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Draught. Man I don’t even know what to say about this. Poured dark, raisin rum aroma, same taste with molasses etc. Good but maybe too syrupy. suprchunk (2994) - EffOff, Florida, USA - DEC 22, 2011
Rich, deep, mahogany colored pour. Ruby highlights. No head, no lacing. Looks flat, but there is the occasional bubble rising. Smells like caramelized sugar, raisins, malt. Taste is sweet, slight smokiness, sugary. Vanilla. Sweet syrupy mouthfeel, but not to syrupy. Not too bad. I like it, but would like it better if it was colder. Nice winter warmer. Shared at the local homebrew Christmas party. Dark reddish brown pour with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, slightly roasted, and caramel. Taste is roasted, sweet prunes. iowaherkeye (2804) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - JUL 9, 2012
500mL bottle, no date for $12.99 at Olive Tree Market in OB. Clear dark reddish brown with a small beige head, fading to a ring rather quickly. Belgian yeast and ripe dark fruit (figs mainly) and molasses brown sugar notes up front in the nose--pretty malty and sweet. Light toasty malts are also present. The flavor adds some decaying leaves, and with it, a very slight tinge of something tangy. Still, quite sweet. The alcohol, though not all that strong, does help drying the beer out a bit, as well as some light roast char that doesn’t become apparent until the semi-dry finish. Bitterness peaked at a 2-3. Low carbonation with a big full body. This wasn’t too bad, but for the price, it sure was. I’d give it a 3 if the price factored in my rating, but this time, it won’t.
