3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can at home - Tasting - Thanks to Bager. Pitch black - offwhite head. Licorice. Burned. High malty. Gunpowder. Salmiac. Ok bitterness.
Can, 7%. Aroma of salty smoke. Black colour, seems fairly clear. Small frothy off-white head. The flavour is quite roasted with a caramelly hop note. Has a little smoke and cream, but not the salt I thought I smelled in the aroma. Quite creamy finish with a hint of winegummy hops. Thin mouthfeel, but not a problem here, I think. Can. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roast and malt, with touches of hops and yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with coffeelike and ashy notes and touches of dark chocolate and hops and yeast. Hints of oats. Roasty and estery aftertaste with coffeelike touches. Creamy mouthfeel despite medium carbonation. Good. Fisler (817) - Bamberg, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2018
Schöne dunkle Röstmalze im Trunk, leicht angebrannt, etwas Mokka. Mittig herb, malzig. Lange holzige Spur bis in den Abgang. Hinten etwas bitter. So muss ein Stout schmecken. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 8, 2018
10/23/2016 -- from notes: 16oz can, from Brentwood Spirits. Batch 1. Pours black with a big brown head. Awesome big earthy chocolatey mild coffee somewhat nutty aroma. Grea cocoa, earthy hops. Touch of ash and cola. Medium-plus body, great chewy feel, mild dry in the finish. Moderate bitter taste, lighter to moderate sweet, great hop balance here. This is a fantastic oatmeal stout. Haven't felt this way about one since Beer Geek Breakfast, and it reminds me a lot of that brew. Fantastic to enjoy with my morning sandwich. chinchill (5451) - South Carolina, USA - DEC 23, 2017
16 oz can -- batch #004.
Pours dark brown, looking near black and opaque in the glass. Very good tan head.
Well hidden alcohol. Loads of dark roasted grain flavor with just a bit of burnt toast. Smooth, full body. No off notes.

473 ml can from the Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a very dark brown with modest-sized light tan head. Aroma is roasty and smoky with molasses, light coffee and hints of cocoa powder. Flavour has both roast and smoke notes with treacle and hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel on the slick side. Nice. Toomio (620) - Joensuu, FINLAND - NOV 1, 2017
Hyvä Stout. Oatmeal ei ole ihan mun juttu, mutta rasvaisten nakkien kanssa se menee. vandc01 (460) - North Branch, USA - OCT 29, 2017
16oz can poured at home.
Not a lot of aroma - guess I don't expect too much.
Decent taste and bitter aftertaste.

24-OCT-2017, can @home, from Boxbeers. Black with a high, lacing, tan head.
Aroma is sweet roast, dark fruit, herbs.
Taste the same. Quite herbal, quite fruity. Not burnt at all. Just smooth roast. A little milky feel to it. Lactic? Could be. Not all that bitter. Just a little hops. Fine. Sissio (1814) - Orsenigo, ITALY - OCT 17, 2017
