Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of smoked bacon, alcohol, roasted malt, and wood. The flavor is sweet with smoked bacon, chilis, roasted malt, chocolate, and alcohol, leading to a dry, alcoholic finish, where the chili really burns. joergen (28148) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2012

On tap. Pours an opaque black with hardly any head - killed by the peppers? Roasty nose, some dark dried fruit and a whiff of chilies. Medium body, low carbonation, roast and raisins with a solid dose of peppers that really build up on my palate and leaves a powerful bite. An interesting chili beer alright. 170212 Travlr (24836) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Bottle courtesy of FrumptyDumpty, thanks! This one had just the right amount of smoke and chili, nicely balanced. Oakes (17684) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 17, 2012
Dark brown. Smells like ancho, aji panca and more complex pepper stuff - more than the beer actually is apparently. Yeah, I love the chile complexity and earthiness. The rest of the beer I can’t weigh in on, I was just rocking the chiles. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Pours dark brown in color with an off-white head. Woah, intense nose on this! Super heavy on the smoke and chipotle aroma with a smell that’s almost reminiscent of the fire from charcoal on a grill. A bit of burnt wood and roast, too. The flavor is quite spicy and has sort of a hot sauce/BBQ sauce feel to it. A touch fruity from the peppers and a lot of roast and smoke. One of the more intense chili beers I’ve had. Dedollewaitor (16159) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2012
Bottle @ Fanø Bryghus. Pours black with a creamy head and lacings. Roast, pepper, ash and smoked malts. Fruity acidic with some chili sneaking up. Warmth . .
