NOTE!! This entry is for the dark version. If your beer pours golden your rating must be put under this beer:

Congratulations, you have just managed to get your hands on Russian Roulette - a rare kind of collaboration between Evil Twin Brewing (Denmark) and OMNIPOLLO (Sweden).

This beer would best be described as an IPA with a twist. A twist that will reveal itself first after you "bust some caps".

One thing remains sure however, if you like hops and the lush texture of a well crafted beer this will have you smiling as you face your destiny.

Good luck,
Jeppe (Evil Twin Brewing) and Henok (OMNIPOLLO)

Good but not great. Nice body of hops and blackness, but a bit to thin for me.

Slight hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma is spicy, slight peppery, bit green hops, bit citrus, bit sweet. Bit sweet as well as dry in taste, soft bitterness.

Wow, despite a Best Before 2014 on the label, this beer is still very good. Surprisingly, the hop character is still full fledged. Appearance was amazing with a huge thick creamy tan slow to settle head. I’m further impressed that they’ve been able to tweak it so that the hops blend so well with the roast and dark malt qualities. Very easy drinking brew.

Bottled.. Pours black .. Foam is decent .. . Quite bitter, lots of dark malt, astringent, and burnt hops .. Burnt aftertaste .. . Ehh, it’s okay .. . . I’m finishing my coffee

500ml bottle. Black with beige head. Hoppy aroma, pine, grassy, light roasted malty, caramel, licorice. Light sweet and heavy bitter taste, roasted malty and hoppy again. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

"Black IPA, orange peel, pine/spruce and roasted malts up front and center. The aroma is fan freakin tastic, and the flavor is not far behind. Done really well, this is what I want in a black ipa. dry. piney, hoppy, roasted, chocolatey goodness."

Dark brown colored pour. Huge tan head that takes up 2/3 of the glass. Some lacing when it eventually dies down. Huge hoppy aroma. Some dark malt, roast, coffee and chocolate notes. Chocolaty taste with some hop notes. Some coffee, citrus. Bitter finish.

(bottle - 500 ml) Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Hoppy aroma with some light malt. Flavor is overly bitter without much malt to compliment it. Overly carbonated and just kind of plain.

Bottle. Extremely lively pour, with an effervescent brown head dominating a dark brown body. Aroma is very hoppy, sweet tropical fruits and light pine. Intense hop character on the palate, papaya sweetness, mango skins, pine; the hops pretty much steal the show, completely dominating the toffee-ish dark malts. Long and extremely bitter finish.

Oddly disappointing for me. Black pour. Mildly hoppy nose. Flavors are quite intriguing at first, but the finish really becomes unbalanced after a few sips--very astringent and burnt finish.
