Bottle. Pours black with a thick beige that sticks around. Nice aroma, pine, grapefruit and coffee. Taste has similar flavours but perhaps is less hoppy and the rich roasty malt comes through harder. Medium body with a long very bitter finish that I quite like, sticks around for ages. Very nice garza (573) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - OCT 9, 2012
Pours a deep brown/black colour with a frothy dark beige head. Citrus hopy aroma, with hints of licorice, roasty malt and some chocolate. Malty flvour with medium bitterness and notes og grapefruit or orange zest. Yet refreshing. full body, oily feel, soft carbonation and beautiful lingering long bitter finish. Nice. lortsker (332) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 9, 2012
Bottle, thanks Søren/Bonke: Pours pitch black, with a small grey head, Aroma, yeast, roasted notes, liquorice, roasted malt, burnt notes, very hoppy, grassy, plant sap, decomposing leaves, peach, passionfruit, resin, grapefruit, fruity sweetness, golden syrup, orange peel, light soap, but unfortunateley the roasted notes take a bit away from the lovely hop aroma in the golden version, still good indeed, Taste, this is even more bitter than the golden version, it has some roasted bitterness as well, taste a lot like the other but with roasted notes. ;-) The fruityness is a bit muted though, some chocolate, coffee, ashy. light liquorice. Nice! Pinball (12145) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 21, 2012
Bottle from toft vin.pitch dark. light brown head (large, fluffy, some of it smooth). very nice roasted malty and hoppy (pine, fruit peel) aroma. the dark malts are quite strong in the aroma. Flavor is bitter roasted malts, notes of cofee bitterness, lots and lots of bitter hops and a little flowery hops in the middle, then bitter roasted malts in the end. Very nice dark ipa indeed. high on bitterness. Now, i wonder how many bottles i’l have to buy to get to taste the other one... MOLA_DK (379) - DENMARK - MAR 23, 2012
Bottle at home. Pours black with a nice mocca head. Aroma is a nice mix of roasted malt and piney, fruity and grassy hops. Roasted malts and hops fight for first impact, malts win at first and then hops fight through. Long, lingering bitter finish. Like a schwartzbier on acid. Highly drinkable!

Bottle. Put it to my head and got the dark one. Reads as a black IPA. Black pour with a thick tan head. Lots of lace. Very bitter black hops - but wonderfully so! Heavy and dark. Bit smoother than it should be. Very much full of bitter burned notes. Minimal fruit. Medium thick palate. Not for the faint of heart but quite good actually. 500 ml bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roastiness, charcoal, earthiness, grapefruit, pine and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of roastiness, charcoal, grapefruit, earthiness and pine with a crisp dry bitter lingering roasty pine finish.
