Pours pitch black color with a small off-white head. Quite strong milk chocolate on the nose, mild vanilla, caramel, mild toasted malts and cocoa powder also. The aroma reminds me of some of the ST Blackwater series brews.
Flavor is also quite milky with some lactose, chocolate, toasted malts, the vanilla is much stronger on the flavor, caramel malts and cocoa are there too. Some hoppy fruits on the finish as well. Sweet and creamy palate, ashy and a bit bitter chocolaty finish. Alcohol very well hidden, nice sweet impy.
Super dark with amazing vanilla and coffee aromas.
Same in taste, with a great long bitter-sweet aftertaste. The alcohol is not detachable.

(bottle - 500 ml) Dark brown pour with a creamy looking tan head. Aroma is big with tons of flavors. Coffee, chocolate, malt and cream to name a few. Lots of chocolate and roasted malts in the beginning of the flavor. Very creamy body, possibly from oatmeal. A light vanilla and toffee sweetness comes up with the coffee bitterness at the end. Black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is cocoa, vanilla - kind of smells like chocolate chip cookies, some molasses. Thick and boozy. Lots of cocoa, molasses and vanilla in the body. A little bit of bitterness comes out towards the end that cuts into the black malt and alcohol. Merely okay, in my opinion.

Bomber to huge snifter. Some chocolate and vanilla and booze in the aroma, along with dark roasted malt. Not the darkest or thickest pour ever, but it’s close. Huge head that diminishes but sticks around the whole time. Tastes starts with sweet vanilla and chocolate but absolutely slaps you in the face in the end with booze and burnt malt. Each sip was and adventure. Wow. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2012
