Drinking this now. Full-on standard heavy Imperial Stout, great for standing outside on this cold night... and getting me psychologically prepared for winter, I guess. Slippery heaviness on the mouth, vanilla and roasted stout on the nose, with this much vanilla you’d think it could turn out too sweet, but the finish definitely has bitterness. I think this was very well balanced. I plan on buying this again and sharing, the vanilla makes it a a good "starter" impy. Peacehammer (624) - California, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Thick viscous black with about a half finger of milk chocolate head. Milk chocolate on the nose as well. Thick bodies. Great notes of roasted chocolate and coffee. A smooth texture to compliment the roast notes. goozen (4045) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012

500 ml bottle. Pours black with medium dark tan head. Aroma of dark coffee beans, vanilla, and dark berries. Creamy but warm; can catch the alcohol. Flavors of black coffee, something like vanilla extract, and burnt malts. A tad acidic. Not bad but expecting more... KingCecil (2084) - DENMARK - SEP 13, 2012

Overall, I was really pleasantly surprised by this one. The aroma was just fantastic, and it was followed up by a strong taste and nice smooth mouthfeel. My only real complaint would be the price, $14 for a 500mL bottle is pretty damn pricey. That being said, I would buy this again if it were on the shelf, even at that price. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 11, 2012
Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, deep roast, some vanilla. Flavour is creamy vanilla with deep bitter liquorice, big roast, all very creamy. Liquorice and vanilla linger on and on. jmgreenuk (9300) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - SEP 11, 2012
Bottle at De Molen 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured almost black with a thin tab head. Some vanilla in the aroma which is very present in the flavour along with liquorice and coffee. Nice to taste, but I found the alcohol a little overpowering.

From a bottle at a de molen tasting. Dark pour with a thick dark tan head. Musty aroma hiding red currant notes. Bitter chocolate Warming alcohol. Long lingering bitter roasted finish. Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 11, 2012
Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting @ de Molen, hosted by dEnk. Black pour, foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, ripe fruits, vanilla, shoe polish and some spices. Flavor is bitter roasty, some breay yeast, somewhat salty and a bit rough. Very decent body, a bit out of balance. Nice brew.
