Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2. Hazy amber beer, little cream coloured head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Massive fresh lime and a little lemon. Semi dry finish. Crisp finish. One dimensional in it’s lemon and lime which has swamped the base beer. But a fun palate livener!

Leighton (22329) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2012
On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours hazy, rich gold with a light, creamy white head. Absurdly intense lemon-lime aroma - Pine-Solesque, in fact. Light sweet flavor, tons of lemon and lime rinds, which give the beer a strong, gritty bitterness that doesn’t really please the palate. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Strong, rindy bitter finish, lots of lime. The hops and lemon-lime rind character is just too grating.

Benzai (16706) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2012
Draught @ Borefts 12. Hazy orange color, small to medium sized white head. Smell and taste both have an insane lemon&lime character, it’s completely overwhelming. It reminds me of the fluid used to scare of gnats and wasps and of dishwasher-water. Medium carbonation, low to medium body. Way too much, completely over the top lemon & lime!!

brokensail (16648) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Golden amber pour with a white head. Incredibly strong lime aroma, a really heavy salt note, some cilantro, and lemon pledge. Mild white wine aroma, too. The flavor is very, very acidic and tart. Tastes like what I would imagine Lemon Pledge would be like. Salty, lime juice, and cilantro. Might be good for making margaritas or tacos.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2012
Draught at Borefts BeerFest 2012. Cloudy amber - white head. Lemon, high fresh lemon & lime aroma, taste of soap, baked lemon, light caramel. This reminds me of the times I was doing the dishes, when I was a child.... a good solid taste og dishwashing soap.
