Perhaps you heard of a worldwide beer-movement that tributes favorite hipster neighbourhoods across the globe. First came Istedgade, then Södermalm followed by Williamsburg and Shoreditch accompanied by Trastevere & El Raval. This Hipster ale was aged for 4 months on white wine barrels and then dryhopped with Citra, Summit, & Cascade – perfect as a tribute to our favorite up-and-coming Hipster neighborhood, Sønderho, DK. Cheers to picture-perfect white sandy beaches, the Wadden Sea, and thatched-roof homes. Beware first movers!

UPDATED: APR 29, 2013 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours an orange/amber with creamy lasting head. Sweet hoppy passionfruit/citrus aroma with acidic, sour notes. Almost zesty. Sour, medium bodied flavour with a moderate sweetness and really attractive bitterness. Thirsty for more! Surprised how much I liked this beer, highly recommendable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber with a fine white head that never disappears. Aroma of lime, grapefruit, wood - a little minerally Riesling-like - spices, green mango. Bitter and a little sour with wine, spices and lots of citrus flavours, zing that suggests brett. Reminds me of those little bags of salad dressing sold in Bangkok street markets, although you probably haven’t been there. Original, sharpening.

330ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. Pours a strong dark almost copper red colour with a deep layer of foam. Aroma is strong and powerful and is a cross between caramel, grapefruit and passionfruit. Quite spritzy and strong in the mouth and the flavour takes you by surprise. All round a good beer.

Bottle from mane liquor. A vibrant orange pour with a nice white heap. Great lacing left around the glass! Nose is a citrus/sour fruit bowl full of zest! Mixture of mangos, grapefruit, passion fruit and lemon zest. Upfront is quite tart but settles down once you get through the beer. Taste has a nice balance of tropical fruit and grassy hops. Hint of earthy spices. Creamy mouth feel with a zesty grapefruit tang. This beer has a lot dimensions and really balances up nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a healthy looking orange with a dense, beige head which lasts for the duration. Fantastic legs on it. Nose instantly shows the funk and it’s mix with citrus hoppage. Massive tropical fruits - mango, passionfruit, nectarine. It’s like a semi sweet semi sour fruit bowl. Amazing stuff. Quite a tarty kick on the first sip but as my palate gets used to it, it really opens up. Loads of citric and tropical hoppage. A touch grassy with a great balance of funk coming through. Very punch-bowl fruit driven - mango, nectarine, apricot, grapes. So juicy. Palate is slightly creamy with a lengthy sour grapefruit-like tang. Unbelievably good beer. Best I’ve had in a long time. I could drink this beer for the rest of my life

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber colour with a medium off-white head. Very pleasant aroma of sour and sweet berries and the barrel aging shines throug with sour and spicy apple cider vinegar, rowanberries and a touch of forest. The flavour is similar but more intense with a more woody bitterness. In the background I find some fruity hops. Has a slick and soft mouthfeel, and a medium bitterness. The white wine-aging take a lot of space in this beer, but feels balanced and pleasant. The bitterness comes through in the taste.

DocLock (11048) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Bottle from Smith’s. Pours turbid orangy deep copper with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is heavy ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, grapes. Tastes very tart, acidic, woody, heavy on the IBUS, and somewhat dry and black peppery. Achieves a grapefruit juicy, oaky flavor profile with the added malt that smooths out late. If this is an APA, then this is an APA on steroids, and a damned good one.

From a 33 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a cloudy gold with an off white head. Aroma of peach and yeast. Hints of bubble gum and butterscotch in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Smooth tart finish.
