Bottle thanks to pentaz. Dark wood, tobacco, mushrooms, charcoal. Full body, some sweetness, light/medium sour. Long wooden finish. Strange and probably better fresh.

Sample during the 10th Annual Day Before Labor Day Party on 09/06/2015. Pours jet black with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and dark fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, dark fruit and a touch of anise. The finish is roasty with a dark chocolate and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle shared with alexsdad06. Pours clear dark brown color with a moderate frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted dark chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a thick smooth texture. Medium to heavy dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid porter.

330 ml bottle shared by alexsdad06 - thanks again, Brad! Got cute with the name here; yeah, can’t use the original. Pours a deep opaque brown, nearly black, with a small, lasting beige head. Nice to look at. It has some black olive notes in there, with tobacco, dark chocolate, roasted malts, light soy, and some fudge sweetness. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a rich, coating mouthfeel. Dry finish. Good imperial porter.
