Draft at Monks. Opaque brown with a fizzy brown head. Odd combination of coffee and jucy red fruit flavors seem to jump out in equal measure. On one side black coffee, dark chocolate and burnt toast. On the other pomegranite, red plums, and raspberries. Bit of black jellybean licorice in there too. Weird combo in a way since most stouts will pick a side and mostly stick to it. This one has some of the darker notes of an Imperial married to a fresh Pannepot. Moment to moment not certain if it all works but at least it is different and interesting. oRos (1674) - sacramento, California, USA - OCT 15, 2012

Dark opaque brown color, vanishing brown head. Aroma of licorice, ash and light toasted note. Medium-bodied, active carbonation. Light tart front, coffee, toasted malts, licorice. Certain Danish flavours in this stout.
Pours a dark black, very thinned bodied to be a good winter warmer, was expecting this thicker, sweet finish, ok beer. StuartCarter (22) - Alabama, USA - SEP 12, 2012
Appearance: jet black, no real head
Smell: stout. Coffee. Something else, maybe citrus? Not sure.
Taste: coffee, tartness. Not really getting any orange.
Mouthfeel: thick. Not much carbonation apparent.
Aftertaste: tart sourness. This comes over as more of a sour than a stout.
As it warms: more of the same.
This is an odd beer. Brewed with orange peel, it tastes a lot more sour than orange-y. With the right dessert pairing, this could be dynamite. On its own it is quite peculiar! after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - SEP 11, 2012
500. Pours black with a scant loose tan head. Roasty chocolate nose. Flabby, fairly flat body. Roasty chocolate mid palate, but there’s a tang at the end that shouldn’t be there. Tastes a bit buggy.
