spacecube (1705) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2013
330ml bottle, pours deep dark brown, aroma chocolate, coffee, rich dark fruit, rich chocolate, finish balanced and moderate bitter, carbonation is low, very rich, nice strong beer. Not as individual as the front room, but perhaps more like the kind of stuff I generally like to drink

Pours very dark brown to black with fairly low tan head. Aroma of barrels, not necessarily port, dates, figs, dark chocolate, burnt muscovado. Taste is rich, full, boozy sweet with port, dates, sugar... Light bitterness in the finish. Very warming. Rich and creamy body with soft carbonation. Front Room is better, this is still very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark brown with a medium sized beige slowly diminishing head. Caramel, wooden oxidized, sherry, dark dried fruits, light cocoa. Medium/full body, medium/heavy sweet and medium bitter. Good balance, no alcohol showing. Soft carbonation and soft on the palate. I had the Front Room recently, but I can’t pin point the differences without tasting them agains each other, but I really like this.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of rich dark chocolate, port, oak and raisins. Rich flavour of toasted malts, dark chocolate, salty licorice, distinct heavy port notes, English toffee and grassy bitterness. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a long warming, sweet, rich finish. Pairs extremely well with kärtner rahmlaib cheese. A dessert at it’s finest.
