Bottle at Torst, 03/30/2013. Pours dark plum brown, little head with large bubbles floating on the surface. Aroma of roasted dark chocolate, caramel candy, musty malty sweetness, wood. Taste is sweet, chocolate coffee, light roast bitterness, vanilla, sweet barrel notes. Full bodied and smooth, alcohol not noticeable. Very nice, darker and more straightforward than the Back Room, still delicious.

Bottle. Poured a brown color with a small sized off white head. Caramel, brown sugary, some wood, and dark fruits. Lighter vinous quality in the tastes. On the sweeter side ... a enjoyable sipper.

Excellent in all respects, fruity with prunes/dates/raisins to the fore. The alcohol is very even and balanced.

Bottle - Alcohol, licorice, molasses, dark roast and sweet dark fruit barrel notes. Jet brown with a thin rich light brown head. Molasses, soy, licorice and chocolate. Finishes nice and sweet with a bit of barrel and burn on the throat. Great oily mouth feel and everything in balance. A bit darker in look and flavor, but still really good. This is much better than the back room.

blackish brown pour, minimal white head. Gorgeous aroma of raisins, brown sugar, oak, dark rum soaked fruit...very enticing. Taste - Light carbonaton, raisins, brown sugar, slight heat, sweet (caramelized sugar) boozy finish. Rich, refined, a real sipper for sure!

Brown, hazy liquid, small beige head. Vineous sweet aroma, hints of higher alcohols. Rich and very smooth, sweet taste and moutfeel with some warming alcohol. Leaves a slight burning sensation. Pretty great.

11.2 oz bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a clear brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have dark caramel malts, dark fruits, wood, a hint of smoke, sweeter barrel notes I can assume came from the Malaga. This is solid and tasty.

Bottle to snifter (shared with the group; thanks DuffMan). Looks good; a translucent darker brown with very thin light beige lacing. Smells good too; sweet and malty with notes of oak, vanilla, and a touch of earthiness. Tastes like it smells with notes of raisin and a nice, sweet, slightly vinous mouthfeel. Good beer!
