Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Jet black pour with a tan head. Aromas of coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, lots of sweet spice. Flavours of dark roast coffee, raisin, almond, licorice toffee, warm chili hit, chocolate cake, coconut. Long, sweet dry boozy finish. Exceedingly tasty.

Bottle from Saveur Bière.com. Black color, small head. Big chocolate, coffee, cinnamon. A bit rough and unbalanced. Good beer but just Ok for the style, totally saved by the habanero pepper

Bamsen78 (5668) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 17, 2018
Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy dark tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt, cake and coffee and touches of fruit. Sweetish flavour of chocolate and malt, with fruity and roasty notes and touches of cake. Biscuity and roasty afteraste with nutty notes and coffeelike hints. Warming alcohol presence. Complex and good.

September 20, 2017 - at Cask Pub & Kitchen - keg draught. Inky black, small light brown head. Aroma is spicy peppers, cinnamon, lushly spicy, dark cocoa and baker's chocolate - roasty and solid alcohol - insanely malty. Taste is simpler - deep roast and chocolate, with coffee, lighter cinnamon, milder earthy pepper spice (hotter in the aroma) bitterness - maybe a bit sweet - even Christmas cake-like. Slick, decent body, mild carbonation, spicy/sweet/sticky/roasty chocolate finish .... got even better as it warmed (was a tad cold when served). Wouldn't drink it every day, but was happy to have it. Oh - didn't get almonds at all.

A bit confused on the nose at the beginning, then a good mix of cocoa, vanilla and spices, black with a good tan head, medium/full body, low carbonation, again good balanced flavours...good not extreme.

22oz bomber shared by Patrick. Rich and chocolaty. The habanero is rather mild. The chocolate, almond, cinnamon, all sort of meld together. Solid Pastry Stout. Not overboard with the ABV/sugar additions Good.

Cocoa, mild chili peppers, vanilla, heavy chocolate aroma. Pitch black color with small but creamy brown head. Slightly hot, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, some alcohol but still hidden very well. Full body, creamy, bit oily, soft to flat carbonation. Hot chocolate finish. Excellent! //bottle from Hoppiness

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a bright dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with black chocolate notes with some coffee notes and quite a bit of residual sugar notes. Taste is a mix of roasted malt notes with some rich sweet black chocolate notes some coffee, light cinnamon with subtle habaneros notes and quite a bit of residual sugar notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Not as spicy as expected but nice imperial stout with quite the complexity though maybe a tad too sweet.

3.8
Theydon_Bois (21849) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2018
Keg at CBC Brixton, 12/01/18. Black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is dark toffee, charr, chocolate, spice, fruit esters, green pepper fumes. Taste comprises dark chocolate, mellow roast, green chilli, toffee, light vanilla extract, coffee. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced alcohol. Decent impy ... nice spice kick but not overbearing.
