Drank from a blank can labelled Evil Twin Yang Imperial IPA labeled with tape... Says batch #001 on bottom. but due to pouring black and definitely tasting like a black IPA, I can only assume this is Yin & Yang? Bought from a very well stocked beer store/restaurant in Pennsylvania. Pours very thick like a soy sauce. Very rich whisky and woody flavour, roast malts abound. Prounounced piney hop bitterness in the end, unique and fun way to make a double black IPA. jnitka (53) - Gdańsk, POLAND - AUG 24, 2017
Color is deep brown to black. Head is off-white, slightly frothy. Nose is dark bread, caramel, toastiness, cacao, grapefruit, hops. Taste is toasty and chocolaty at first with some licorice but hoppy and bitter in the finish with hints of grapefruit peel. Body is extremely smooth and oily with well-hidden alcohol and soft carbonation. beton (651) - Tarnobrzeg, POLAND - MAY 19, 2017

This a DIY version, using the two cans to make a black and tan. It may have slightly more Yang (IPA) than Yin (Stout).
I tried to do the layering with the spoon but I don’t have the right type of spoon so it never works out well. Blended, it is a dark, dark brown, nearly black.
Aroma isn’t that strong, but
Taste is chalky mocha coffee with a lovely piney finish on top. It is malt-forward but also not devoid of hop. The malts are burnt cookies. The malt comes out strong at the top, but later on, the hops take over, coating the palate with a very strong woody finish.
The feel is kind of sandpapery, smooth but also with a gritty texture. It’s really a kind of wonderful beer, balancing the sweets and the bitters of both beers really well. It’s an incredibly difficult dance but Yin/Yang does it right. Grumbo (3486) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2017
At Dan’s. Now Yin in its own right was great, but possibly a little too carbonated. Yang also great, possibly a little too sweet maybe. But Yin and Yang at one third / two thirds has created something even more special and the combination works so well. Deliciously smooth, with softer carbonation, and balanced sweetness. Lovely!

Oneness from duality. Giant hop monster makes sweet love to a delicious impy stout. Serenity in a pint glass. Good beer, in other words. Beautiful pour, dark and mysterious with a mighty head and voluminous lace. Aroma leans mostly stout, chocolate and coffee backed by light pine. Taste starts with a bold mocha sweetness, milk chocolate and espresso, with a growing bitter streak laced with pecan and pine and orange. Anise and raisin on the finish. No alcohol present despite the 10% ABV. Wonderful brew. Can’t wait to try to the individual parts. Sissio (1702) - Orsenigo, ITALY - APR 4, 2017

Pours deep brown with a large soft tan head. Aroma is somewhat citrusy with dark chocolate. Definitely more citrusy than chocolate. Flavor is dark chocolate, bitter citrus peel, peat, perhaps a bit of pine. Tasty! BeerWarden31 (2) - RUSSIA - FEB 24, 2017 does not count
