COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial India Black Stout. This is a complete RTD Black and Tan. Not just any Black and Tan but the one where we flawlessly mixed a flippant good Imperial IPA with a profoundly evil Imperial Stout and sustained sweet beer balance. 33% Stout and 67% IPA.

Bottle - Black colour, medium, dense tan head, excellent retention and lacing. Intense roasted coffee aromas with a lot of dark chocolate, citrussy anx resinous hops. Taste of coffee, caramel, chocolate, cocoa powder, lemon zest, pine, grapefruit. Mediun body, average carbonation, silky texture, lingering roasted and hoppy aromas. Really nice marriage of a stout and an IPA.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a deep brown with reddish tints around the edge and a finger of beige foam that lingers throughout. Citrusy nose with weed, coffee and caramel and cacao nibs. Medium body with average carbonation. Lots of pith and citrus zest on the front but finishes with dark cacao and coffee with a toasted caramel finish. Slighly sticky mouthfeel. Really good.

colui72 (826) - HONG KONG - DEC 20, 2015
This is a beer blend, its 67% of Yang (Imperial IPA) and 33% of Yin (Imperial Stout). It pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, resin and hops. Taste has coffee, fruit, caramel, dark malts. Smooth and medium bitter, quite hoppy in the palate. Perfect transgender ale.

12oz bottle - been meaning to try this one for a long time. When I smell this, I get coffee, resin and grapefruit. From the sip I get more of the same. ABV is well hidden at first. complex bitterness. long bitter finish. Ethers in the finish which overpower a semblance of booziness. also coffee roast flavors in the finish. Complex but not as sweet as I would expect.

Bottle. Pours black. Aroma and taste are like a black IPA. Was hoping for more imperial stoutness to come out.

Combine two beers of about equal awesomeness and you somehow get something thats even more awesome than either is by itself. That convoluted sentence is courtesy of my blown mind. Its amazing how the combined flavors compliment each other. Somehow Yang brings out more of Yins chocolate and tobacco elements. Yin, on the other hand, enhances the dank cannabis notes in Yang. In a way, its wrong to focus on the individual beers in this blend since this beer has such lovely harmony but I cant help it after having each on their own. My head hurts. Ill just stop.

Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, and some chocolate with a citrus/ fruity hop presence. The flavor is about the same with the interplay between the roasted stout and IIPA flavors tussling about, its interesting and pretty decent, not something i would drink often though.

Pours a finger and a half of tan head on a black body. The aroma has a strong citrus front with a roasted malt/chocolate background. Really nice. The taste is lemon bitterness to start, then chocolate sweet mixed with coffee bitter, finishes with a slight citrus bitterness. The texture is crisp. It has a great flavor profile.

On tap at Barrels & Bottles. Black appearance with a lacy, lingering tan head. Big roasted malt aroma with bitter chocolate, coffee, earthy hops, toasted grain, light pine and light grass. Similar flavor, fairly bitter and dry with hints of citrus zest and light herbal hops. Medium to full body. I like Yin (3.9) and Yang is OK (3.4) so this falls pretty much in the middle.

Took is as Yin&Yang bottle. Beer in the glass pours a very dark brown color with medium tan head. Aroma is really Black IPAish, hop forward, with tropical fruits and citrus and a coffee and chocolate base. Taste follows the aroma, again, grapefruit, pineapple and sweet citrus, with a very complementing Stout character, with coffee, chocolate and some molasses. Bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable to be a 10% ABV beer. Really nice.
