English Language Label: This is one half of a Black & Tan. Not just any Black & Tan, but one where a toasted smug and hoppy fella get together to make a sublime Taiji balance. Mix the Yin & Yang together (or enjoy this profoundly evil Imperial Stout solo).

Pours a black color. Whoa. About one finger brown head. Good lacing.

Aroma is lots of dark berries. Light chocolate, medium coffee. Dark fruit. Dark roasted malt.

Taste is berries, lots of dark fruit. Licorice. Light chocolate, medium coffee. Toffee. Pretty bitter, and strong.

Mouthfeel is full, very heavy. Alcohol is hard to detect. Bitter, but smooth.

Overall, it's big, but it's good. I'd drink it again, I'd buy it again.

Pours near black with a moderate tan head. the nose is surprisingly low on chocolate or coffee roast notes and is mostly modest hops and a touch of dark fruit and caramel. Mouth feel is surprisingly thin for the style with a blend of coffee, plums, dark chocolate, bittering hops, and a little alcohol forming the flavor. Finish is quick and slightly sticky. A good beer but honestly not as good as I had hoped for

12 oz can from the Yin and Yang four pack at Liberty Beer in Pittsburgh. a beautiful, complex and sublime beer made all the better for the concept of Taiji which warmed my heart. Served by itself without mixing for a yin and yang. Thank you Evil Twin Brewing.

Black with a big dark mocha head. Aroma has lots of coffee, chocolate, and sweet dark caramel. Taste vey roasty, dark chocolate, espresso, caulk, full but nor sweet, with some warming alcohol down the throat, but not much. Very nice RIS

Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of licorice. Pours a dark black with a thick well laced head. Moderate carbonation, with a thick dry mouth feel. Taste is bitter chocolate with notes of malt and vanilla. A bitter malt finish.

12 ounce can. Opaque black color topped by a moderate frothy tan head. Mild roasted malt nose hints at charcoal and espresso. Rich, creamy roasted malt flavor. Bittersweet chocolate, espresso and resiny hops. Smooth and drinkable, though warming alcohol comes through in finish.
