COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lot #6 Double ipa: think of this as our Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. 8.5%abv, and all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus notes. Tommy got very nervous when he saw all the hops going into this one. 18.5

12oz bottle from Joe Canal Fire Rd. Poured a dark amber body with a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma/flavor of amber malts, toast, grains, citrus rind and alcohol. Body is a bit on the harsh side with lingering bitterness and some alcohol heat. Meh

Bottle. Nose is big on nice tropical fruits, rinds and all, with a firm pine base. Pours clear amber with a dense and rocky off-white head. Taste medium-strong bitterness, some cool astringent and highly resinous notes, but sweet with a faint amount of booze seeping through. Light body (again, something I didnt like about the small, not souped-up original of which this is a variant) but with nice cleansing soapy character and lighter wood. some of the woodier and spicier notes from their IPA are toned down here, but I have to give it to them, they make clean and refreshing beers.

Tons of crystal malt in the backbone. Aggressive hop presence in the mouth. Well defined apples and oranges in the nose with some malty sweetness. Very well balanced. Big bitterness in the mouth through the finish. Heavy and balanced. Malt accented, very enjoyable IIPA.

Bottle courtesy of jcartamdg. Cheers, Jason! Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is orange, some caramel, some light red and white grapefruit followed by some mild floral hops. Flavor starts with mild caramel and goes quickly to citrus explosion with white and red grapefruit coming into the mix. Light to medium in body with some mild booze toward the end.

Hazy orange body, medium sized off-white head, spotty lacing. Dank pine, resin, and light tropical fruits. underlying caramel malts are a bit too assertive. Medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation, some residual sweetness in the finish, assertive bitterness.
