COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lot #6 Double ipa: think of this as our Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. 8.5%abv, and all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus notes. Tommy got very nervous when he saw all the hops going into this one. 18.5°

Draft. Pours clear copper with thin off-white head; good lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine hops, lemon, and light toasted malt. Flavor is pine hops with a citrus aftertaste. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth. Good beer.

ganache (5905) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Bottle. Nose is big on nice tropical fruits, rinds and all, with a firm pine base. Pours clear amber with a dense and rocky off-white head. Taste medium-strong bitterness, some cool astringent and highly resinous notes, but sweet with a faint amount of booze seeping through. Light body (again, something I didn’t like about the small, not souped-up original of which this is a variant) but with nice cleansing soapy character and lighter wood. some of the woodier and spicier notes from their IPA are toned down here, but I have to give it to them, they make clean and refreshing beers.

altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - AUG 21, 2015
Beer from Beer and Wine. Bold orange body with medium head. Nose is nice and fruity and hoppy with grapefruit notes. Taste is lots of hops, some honey and spices. Really nice texture with pine kick in the hoppy finish. Really nice.

Tons of crystal malt in the backbone. Aggressive hop presence in the mouth. Well defined apples and oranges in the nose with some malty sweetness. Very well balanced. Big bitterness in the mouth through the finish. Heavy and balanced. Malt accented, very enjoyable IIPA.

snoworsummer (5697) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 7, 2015
Draft at Tyson’s. Pours clear bright amber with a fizzy, bubbly off white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like caramel malt, booze, resin, grapefruit hops, and pine. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like orange, caramel, citrus hops, some booze, and some grapefruit.

markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle courtesy of jcartamdg. Cheers, Jason! Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is orange, some caramel, some light red and white grapefruit followed by some mild floral hops. Flavor starts with mild caramel and goes quickly to citrus explosion with white and red grapefruit coming into the mix. Light to medium in body with some mild booze toward the end.

stevoj (5045) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Hoppy without being overly bitter (?), is such a thing possible? Dark amber with rich creamy head, hops, malt and chocolate(?) on the nose, malt first then hops in the taste. Malt on the finish, with some hops dragging it out.

DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Draft at Two stones Newark. Pours light orange with a thin white head. Grapefruit notes on the nose. I get a bit of sweet malt on the tongue along with some grapefruit notes. Taste lingers a bit. Eh! Kind of one note!

TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAY 20, 2014
Pours a lightly hazy orange with a medium creamy white head. Great hop aroma. Lots of orange with a touch of pine. Flavor of fresh American hops, loads of orange, some pine and a touch of caramel malt
