Pours an orange-copper color. Cloudy with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of bread and citrus with a matching flavor with bread, citrus, and a mellow hop bite at the back end. Weak flavor though. Seems watered-down. ChrisSc (465) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 11, 2013

FROM NOTES: July 1, ’12
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.
A: Citrus hops and some sweet bready malts. The hops are really the star here, good aroma, just lacking a little complexity.
A: Pours a cloudy light orange/amber color with a one-finger white head that dissipates into decent lacing. Nice looking beer.
T: Mostly citrusy hop bitterness and a slight malt presence. Crisp finish that leaves a slight bitterness on the tongue.
P: Medium bodied with nice carbonation.
O: A slightly above average beer. I’m glad I got the chance to try it,and would certainly drink it again, but wouldn’t seek it out. Bricks (1160) - Delaware, USA - OCT 25, 2013
A deep honey brown appearance with OK head. There is some sediment in this one.. looks like it’s about 8 months old judging from the bottle markings =/. A very nice floral malty hoppy smell. Taste is a bit mellow and watery, but not bad. Fruity notes, almost like banana. merc7186 (3160) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 6, 2013
The beer pours great with a nice midly hazy straw color, a very frothy white head, and some decent lacing on the glass. The smell is average with some citrus hoppy notes (almost mild citra-hop) but not much else. The taste is average with mildly citrus flavors and some bready, yeasty flavor but mild tastes and negatively bitter. The mouthfeel is somewhat dry and disappointing and the beer was overly carbonated. Overall, this is a mild pale that doesnt offer much in flavor or anything different.

On tap at UJ’s. Pours nice copper with white head. Almost no flavor at first. Eventually, there’s some weak citrus, pine, floral. Lightly bitter and sweet. Crisp body. novice101 (323) - - SEP 13, 2013
Pours an orange gold color with a bubbly white head that sticks around for bit. The smell is a little hops, nothing aggressive just a touch of citrus. Taste is a bit of citrus and bit bitter but nothing too special or very memorable. Would not have this beer again jrodooo5 (1748) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - SEP 10, 2013
Hmm, pretty uninteresting for an American Pale. Average pour with an ok aroma, the taste is just slightly too plain for the style. It’s got some nice character up front but it just kind of washes away and finishes somewhat watery. This makes the beer light and quite drinkable but by no means remarkable! dwcash159 (8) - Bedford, Texas, USA - AUG 24, 2013 does not count
Primal pale ale has a golden color with a bit of a haze and cloudy appearance. Very little head and barely any aroma. The beer does have a good taste with some earthy hop notes. Not too bitter also. A positive to this brew , it is light and does have a balanced taste. Very easy to drink. Also, not too hoppy. Is recommend you give it a try. GJF (1520) - Mount Vernon, Iowa, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle. Aroma is really nice grass and malt--can smell it from far away. Flavor on this one’s all about grass and straw with a medium dry bitter finish. A good Maryland beer.
