Slightly cloudy, deep amber appearance with an average size off white head and good lacing. Subtle aroma of caramel malts and soft fruit. Flavors of floral, spicy hops with a moderately sweet malt backbone. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish.
Rich amber body with a nice caramel, creamy head. Enjoyable malty aroma with slightly woody notes. The body is malty, well balanced and with the characteristic altbier undercurrent of aged woodiness. Easy drinking. jsquire (4578) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - NOV 26, 2016

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2017 Not what I consider a winter warmer. Light flavor and hoppy. Nice yellow color. Palate a little sweet. Tap
2016/2017 taste is hoppy slight sweet end. Reddish amber color and clear. It is an ale, but not very warm. Maybe a 3.3 upgrade. Tap JDBaker11058 (2336) - Maryland, USA - DEC 24, 2015
appearance: light cola brown, one finger of tan head. aroma: toasted caramel and biscuit malts, light spice, some pine and grassy hops . taste: some caramel and toast, a bit of citrus, pine, and grass, and then a little spice (clove?). finish: clean and dry, slightly bitter. notes: An inoffensive, easy-drinking beer that has a decent amount of character without trying too hard. Felt more like a traditional pale ale than an alt. Would drink again. Bottle from Village Beer & Wine in Rockville.
