From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is spiced, nutmeg, cinnamon, the whole disaster...Bitter, toasted malty and solid bitter. Medium dry and herbal into a slight bitter and dry finish. Bitter and toasted malty finish. Travlr (26431) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 1, 2011
Staff recommendation at Churchkey. Not a bad pumpkin beer, the spice outweighs the squash, and it doesn’t taste like pumpkin pie. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 1, 2011
Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a thin creamy offwhite head. Decent head retention. Aroma of pumpkin spices and herbal hops. The taste is pumpkin, pumpkin spices and a hoppy finish. Thin-medium bodied. Seems a little hollow... missing something. A little bit too hoppy. Soft carbonation. Nice balance - pleasantly sweet with spices nicely forward but not overwhelming. DocLock (11191) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours fizzy orange with a finger of off-white head that goes away quickly and loudly. Nose is pumpkin spice, puree, and funky malt. Tastes funky, with yeasty pumpkin esters, a bit dry and floral, and with an more funky yeasty esters in the finish than pumpkin. This one is unique, and uses the pumpkin in a supporting role, and it works well.
