COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lot #6 Double ipa: think of this as our Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. 8.5%abv, and all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus notes. Tommy got very nervous when he saw all the hops going into this one. 18.5°

From a 12 oz bottle at home. Pours a somewhat cloudy gold with a thick white head. Citrus hop aroma. Citrus, pine, tropical fruit with some biscuit. Smooth and full mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Nice DIPA.

This is a very good beer, I am not normally a fan of IPAs, but this is very smooth and flavorful. Definitely worth trying, just be careful, it is about 9% ABV so it doesn’t take many to feel the effects.

DiarmaidBHK (5948) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Draft at Two stones Newark. Pours light orange with a thin white head. Grapefruit notes on the nose. I get a bit of sweet malt on the tongue along with some grapefruit notes. Taste lingers a bit. Eh! Kind of one note!

On tap at the brewery as a taster and then in a growler. The beer pours an amber and has a strong hops taste. The beer is a strong beer and is your classic Double IPA. ---Rated by E. Rhodes via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2013 Draft at 2sP,snifter..great copper color..slight head that remains after each swirl of the snifter..aroma is pine dominant with citrus undertones..wow is that a solid nose, one of the better piney noses...great citrus undertones beneath the piney hops..tangerine goodness..very clean..mouthfeel is excellent.hops are in nice proportion with the malt..but the hops take center stage..a slight warming presence from the high abv..but it is well masked in the palate..would be happy if EVO would bottle this because in my opinion this is the finest 2ipa being made in the de/md area..Everything about this is highly enjoyable..very well done..worth seeking out..Well done evo..just saw that lot 6 will be available in 4 packs soon...4 packs have arrived..more people will get to taste this treat from evo..according to bottle they ramped down the abv just a notch to 8.5 from the 9.5 or so draft..pretty similar to draft offering..pleased that this will be in greater supply..a personal favorite..

DocLock (11110) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Draft at Craft and Capone’s. Poured hazy medium copper with off-white head. Nose was resiny piney hops, tropical fruit, caramel malt. Tasted rich, complex and hefty on the palate, with well hidden alcohol, and a front palate resiny hop flavor, plus tangerine, pineapple, black pepper, and a substantial caramel malt bill at mid-palate to balance things out nicely.

On tap 4 oz. pour at Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC. Clear, bright red copper with off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of pine, citrus, caramel and tropical fruit. Taste of pine, citrus, fruit and caramel. Full body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pineypower (3346) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Draft at Capone’s. Pours out a darker copper color with a small off white head. Aroma is of mild fruity notes, citrus fruit, light sweet malty notes and a slight tell of alcohol. Taste is of light tropical fruits, citrus, bread, some floral notes and some alcohol dryness on the finish. Overall rather well done, but would have liked to have some more in your face hops.

reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Pours clear lt amber/gold with a medium white head. Aroma has pear and tropical fruits. Flavor has lots of stonefruits and pear...a touch of caramel malt...some kiwi. Mouthfeel is medium/full and a bit syrupy with a dry stonefruit/pine bitter finish. Interesting hoppy notes!
