Hazy golden color, thick tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of grass, flowers, light pine. Taste is moderately bitter lightly spiced pine resin. Nice. brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 8, 2012
Pours a murky amber color with a small off-white head. Smells incredibly mild and bland. There is a little bit of fruit, maybe some oak, vanilla and toffee malts. The flavor is also fairly bland. Some toffee and brown sugar with a bit of vanilla and dark fruits. Really just not a lot going on in this one. A bit thin body with medium carbonation. Bomber courtesy of Beerand Blues2 (thanks Brad) poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of bourbon, toffee, oak, carmel, light fruittiness and a hint of vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bourbon, toffee, brown sugar, carmel, oak and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering bourbon finish. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark brown color with a moderate frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium toasted malt, wood and earthy bourbon aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. A smooth complex drinkable brew.

22 oz. bottle from a ba trade. Pours a slightly hazy amber/copper color with a small off white head. The aroma has sweet caramel, hints of butter (not in a bad way), vanilla, cherry notes and bourbon. Woodford barrels? The flavor has big barrel notes up front with rum and bourbon, caramel, buttery notes, and vanilla. The body is too thin to pull off the barrel notes and the alcohol. Shared at Craft. Poured hazy chestnut with tan head. Nose was caramel malt, nuts, oak, bourbon. Rich flavor with dense palate heft, providing big notes of oak, bourbon, brown sugar, nuts, dark fruit. Solid beer. douglas88 (9828) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 2, 2012
Bomber thanks to SS. Pours a opaque red/brown color with a small white head. A rich bourbon and malty nose, some fruit (strawberries). The flavor is a rich and somewhat hot brew with few Scotch ale characteristics, more barrel and some tart fruit. The sourness is certainly there but it mellowed with warming. Sweet berries and some toffee. Interesting. Vanilla. I liked this a lot more as it warmed. A bit thin. nimbleprop (9022) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 18, 2011
3oz pour at Max’s is a hazy, nut brown with some thin white head. Nose is sweet, honey, a little bourbon, oranges. Flavor is sweet, caramel, vanilla, a little boozy, cookie dough, orange zest. Full bodied, warming finish. Really nice.
