Sampled on draft, and was greeted by a flat hoppy amber beer with citrus, butter and caramel combined with a moderate bitterness. DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 13, 2013

Pours deep reddish brown with a small white head, little retention. Aroma is faint citrus, floral and lots of caramel. Taste is sweet with moderate bitters, the sweetness dominates. Medium bodied, alcohol well hidden, sticky. jrodooo5 (1748) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Interesting - it’s like a barley wine w/out the hops. Very boozy but remarkably drinkable at 9%. Rustic orange w/ no head. Not very complex but some reason it kind of works for me! NikkTwist (3403) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Draft at Eulogy. Hazy red pour. What head there was disappeared entirely before I could notice. Mix of sweet juicy red fruit and bitter hops. Cherries. Plums. Pepper. Pomegranite. Light brown sugar. Definite sharp edge to this red fruit brew. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pours murky copper with minimal white. The aroma is a caramel and citrus bomb and really comes out in the snifter. The taste is full of caramel and is very malty but is not boozy at all. A little syrupy. Sperine (283) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2013
On tap at Blue Dog in Chalfont, PA. Couldn't resist a brew labelled "very rare" on the beer list. Unfortunately, this beer was far too syrupy and unbalanced for me to enjoy.
