Crisp. Good lacing on thick foam head. Poured from bottle. Dry and slightly hopping. Refreshing. Not much character. A safe bet but nothing special.

Bottle. Nose is lightly dusty, good fruit with some pine and caramel, resin and pith. Pours clear orange with light carbonation and a soapy off-white head. Light bitterness, relatively dry in the mouth, but fizzy-crisp with bread and faint grain resolving to a satisfying finish. Nice woody and resinous undertones, and there’s no flabby middle here. Citrus, pith, clean, balanced, cleansing. Refreshing medium body, pretty righteous APA.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 Great Golden color. Yeasts and malts are flavored well. Much better than similar styles. Tap

Bottled. Orangey pour. Some hops. A watered down pale without a lot memorable about it.

Pours amber in color and has some haze about itself. the foamy cap is little and fizzles away. Aroma is mostly hops, citrus and malts are light. Smells good. Taste is pretty good almost assertive with a balanced hop malt attack although flavor is light. Hop has a molasess or minty flavor that comes through almost at the aftertaste. A slickery smooth feel. Pretty good but plain.

Aroma promises a lot but the rest doesn’t match the hype and brings a decent textbook tasting pale ale which is nice on a hot day. But not very primal which I took to mean interesting. Golden color, straw and grass with some citeus in the finish. I could drink a bunch of these but my main draw is that awesome aroma not the flavor.

Appearance: clear copper, near white head, medium lacing. Aroma: citrus (grapefruit, blood orange), light pine, caramel, brown toast . Taste: as the aroma indicates. Finish: balanced, slightly dry, a little bitter. Notes: Nice example of the style. Easy-drinking. On draft at the awesome Full On in Rockville, MD.

Gold with a white head. Light fruity citrus aroma. The flavor is lightly bitter at the start with some astringency in the finish.
