12 oz. bottle via trade. I’ve heard this was one of the best St. Louis area Oktoberfests but have not happened to be around each season it’s been available, coincidentally. It pours a clear deep copper with a finger-plus of frothy off-white head that takes a long time to settle into a thick ring and creamy film. Aroma of toasted, crackery, cereal, and caramel malts, chestnuts, and some grass and straw. Flavor of the same slate of malts, leaves, faint apple and banana, and just a wee bit of copper. I’m also sensing a faint note of clove. Lingering nuts at the end. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a malty, earthy mouthfeel. Gets better as it warms. Good example of the style. csaso (2369) - Missouri, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Bottle - average size foamy head, medium copper color, good balanced malty aroma and flavor, some earthy hop balance, pretty standard Oktoberfest, in the good way

Tasted blind: This is clear orange w/ a foamy head. It’s nose is earthy and hoppy floral w/ some nutty malt notes. It’s lightly sweet w/ a big creamy texture. I think this feels a bit big for a festbier but is still reasonably drinkable w/ it’s solid bitter finish. I am getting to be a real fan of this brewery. crossovert (14233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2015
355ml bottle. Pours with an expert clarity, a clear medium amber with a nice foamy pillowy white head. Aroma is salted caramel pretzel. Flavor is very pretzel bready, concise maltiness, llight bit of herb, sweeter than anticipated, mild bitterness. Decent oktoberfest beer but missing the sluggability this style should incorporate. wlajwl (7291) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Aroma is malts, mild earthiness and light fruit. The flavor is malts, toffee/caramel, light fruit and a mildly sweet/smooth finish.

Pours a clear orange/pale amber with a respectable antique lace head. Some lacing. Aroma is caramel and spice. Taste is sweet caramel malt, buttery biscuits and mild grassy hops. Good effort. vyvvy (6959) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Pours clear copper orange with a dense off-white head. The aroma has rich marzen malt, caramel, very bready, mild hint of hops and the smoothness that a marzen should have. It has a medium body with a pretty good amount of mild sharp carbonation. The flavor begins fairly sweet for the style, but not too sweet. It has some toasty / breadiness and is pretty rich. The finish has a bit of hoppy bitterness. Pretty good for the style. Finhead (1861) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Clear, amber pour with a white head. The aroma has a sweet caramel and bread. It has a medium body with somewhat sticky texture and average carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with a balanced finish. edgallow (4689) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 16, 2013

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice caramel malt breadyness. Flavor is more of that earthy bready malt that makes a good marzen. Finish has some nice caramel and toffee left on the tongue. This is a beer and spot on for the style.
