12 oz bottle poured. Much thanks to Greg for the bottle! Always a treat to try some fun, new stouts, A cola black pour with a lasting tan fizz head. A sturdy, bold roasted element to this one. Dark, toasted malt. Mostly bold, but has a slight sweet side to it as well. Hints of a cool, cream milk chocolate, but its definitely an afterthought with this stout. Very creamy, and gets better as it warms up. Solid stout here.

Bottle at Buddakan, Philly. Black, big tan head. Sweet malt nose, some roast. Lighter, but roast and malt battle. Roast finishes strong. Nice.

Bottled. Black with a nicely sized, dark brown head that is very pillowy and long-lasting. Aroma is a straightforward rich dark coffee roast atop bakers chocolate. Robust roasted malt flavor, very dry, notes of light licorice, oak, and roasted marshmallows. As it warms, really rich woody and chocolatey sweet notes pop in the nose. Very well done.

On tap at the Wine Barrel. It poured a black color with a small tan head. The aroma was of roasted malts, chocolate and some caramel. The taste was similar to the aroma with more roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Quite tasty.

The beer pours dark brown with a dense tan head. The aroma has lots of chocolate, smooth roast, ice cream malt and dark caramel. It has a medium body thats pretty soft and has moderate carbonation. The flavor starts with dark chocolate, roasty malt and a bit of apple. The finish has some hoppy bitterness and heavy roast. Pretty solid.

12/23/15. 12oz bottle from Hy Vee, Moline. Black pour with a nice tan head, good lacing. Nice aroma - coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, cream. Good flavor, a little disappointing, mild coffee and chocolate, caramel, doughy. Not bad!
