I actually found this to be quite the desirable smoked lager. The smoke flavor completely made up for the lower ABV and I wouldn’t have abit of problem pouring this in my glass again. JStax (7455) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2015
12 ounce bottle thanks to phaleslu. The beer is a clear gold with a white bead of foam. The aroma has caramel and bread notes with some mild smoke coming through. Medium sweetness and light smoke in the taste. Medium body and low to medium carbonation. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 3, 2015
12oz bottle, thanks to jstax, I think. Or shrubber85. Coded 15 065. Kind of soft, crisp lighter carbonation. Nice mild dry finish. Mildly hazy golden color, seems to be some fine particles in the body. Satisfying mild to moderate smoke, and clean lager breadiness. Moderate bitter taste, very light sweet, nicely dry finish. Satisfying smoked lager. Good bit of mildly pepperiness. Great balance to the taste. Great to enjoy with my focaccia sandwich. crossovert (14359) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2015

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2015 Bottle. Pours a golden color, with a fair head and some lacing. Aroma of smoke and grain. Taste of mild smoke, grain and bit of malt sweetness. Mild bitterness and a bit of lingering smoke. Fairly light body, smooth with a BBQ smokey feel. Decent beer that is not overly smoked, like most I have tried. Sampled at ESBLS. Smoke leads here and it took a moment to taste it. A little spice, malts, and sugar. This would be a really good beer with their BBQ. But on its own it fell a little short. thegreenrooster (4701) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 22, 2015
Pour is a clear yellow lager with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is a very minor smoke with some cracker malt. Flavor is more of a meaty smoke but not much after that. A bit watery and not a huge smoke but if your looking for a smoked beer to see if you want more this is one to try first. Won’t really need this again. Nearly clear gold with a small, off-white head.
Mild, meat smoke, honey, grain aroma
Taste is a soft, watery ham.....barley malt...a slight herbal bittering.
Not overly smoky....more lager than smoke.
Ok, but not anything memorable. shrubber85 (11806) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Bottle (courtesy of phaleslu). Smoked meat and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet smokey ham, malt, and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Decent body. Not bad.
