Can from Lidl, Wrekenton, Gateshead. Pale straw coloured with a slight grassy and toffee flavour followed by a gentle bitter-sweet finish. Not much flavour with this one. Quad_Tastic (2) - Colorado, USA - AUG 27, 2016 does not count
Don’t like it. These cans used to be bigger (500 ml), sold individually, and taste a whole lot better. Then a few of months ago the smaller 440 ml cans came in and the taste seemed to nose-dive; the difference is like chalk and cheese. Indeed, so bad was the taste I considered taking it back until I re-tested several different batches each with the same problem.
This beer tastes flat, with a sickly after-taste that quickly turns you off consuming more. What happened, LIDL? The previous, larger cans were fantastic but this.. you’ve definitely changed something here, something I now avoid like the plague. Whatever you’ve done to it, this beer is now ruined for me :( bartholos (258) - GERMANY - MAY 13, 2016
Can. Dark yellow golden, straw colored and clear with a full white rocky head. Thats the best part of the beer. Slight aroma of hey and bread in the nose but not much. Light sweet taste that’s turns into a turning slight bitter finish, however there is not much taste anyway. Flavor is slightly malty with hint of bread. Flavor or aroma of hop is missing completely. The body is light to medium with medium carbonation and somewhat watery. Not much aftertaste either, but at least not unpleasent. I think I have already written too much about this beer. Bottle shared at the Tropical Croydonia tasting. 01/07/2015. Thanks to Daniel. Pale yellow clear coloured pour with a fading whiet head. Aroma is fairly clean , light corn cereal. Flavour is composed of light grains, corn, clean, light metal in the finish. Palarte is watery highish carbonation, refreshing. Simple clean lager. Can split at Scopesters on melt day, thanks to Dan Yell for breaking up the xnobe biers with this fucken garbage, 01/07/15.
Pale golden with a decent white cap.
Nose is pissy, grain, light citric tinges, pale maltings.
Taste comprises pale malt, floral rinse, bread, grain, straw, faint lemon.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp clean execution.
Not bad to be fair, beats some fake xnobe biers no problemo.

Can from Lidl, 70 British pence worth of lager. BB Aug 2016, 3.9%. Had no intention of sharing this but, since it was in my bag anyway… Cold courtesy of Paul’s freezer. It’s a hazy yellow, lightly sparkling, small bubbly white head. Aroma is cornflakes, paper. Body is medium to light, low carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is pretty much exactly as the aroma. I wasn’t expecting much, and I didn’t get much. So not disappointed. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2015

Tropical Croydonia Bottleshare. Can from Dan, what a man! Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and mildly crisp. Thin pale malts, dry and not sweet. Paper. Vague off note, hard to place. Mildly bitter floralness. Dry finish. Had better. Had worse.
