Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.

Our well known Classic; this was the first ale produced by the Brewery, back in 2003, when we were called Topsham & Exminster Brewery. We may have changed our name and refined the recipe a tad, but Ferryman remains a firm favourite with many and remains one of our best-sellers.
A copper coloured Premium ale. Beautifully well balanced flavour enhanced with generous handfuls of English Goldings hops.

Cask at the Bull and Blacksmith, Chillington, Devon. Clear reddish-amber with a cream-coloured head. Nice spice and malt flavour up front. Maybe gets a little caramelly by the end, but a pleasant enough smooth, easy-drinking bitter nevertheless.

nimbleprop (8761) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 3, 2017
Cask at the Double Locks, pours a mostly clear orange with a ring of white head. Nose has malt, toffee, yeast, some orange. Flavor is a bit more buttery, treacle, butterscotch, malt, orange. Finishes watery and sweet.

Bottle conditioned. Looks the colour of your grandpas worthless old dusty piano. Nose of dust, Autumn leaves, caramel and boiled sweets. Tastes of all thesr things.. reasonably ok beer to drink in person

Fra cask på Great Western Hotel, Exeter 27 Sep 16. Kopperfarget. Filmskum med litt farge. Lett karamellaroma. Smaken mest karamell. Litt vassen. Tørr fruktig avslutning.

Pint at Double Locks pub. Pours orange-amber with minimal watery head. Aroma astringent, doughy, somewhat chalky. Rather too cloying for my tastes.

Rune (13507) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2016
Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Great Western Hotel Loco Bar. Filmy layer blanketing the glass. Close to clear amber-brown. Grass and brown malty nose. Blended taste of mellow fruits and caramel. Marmalade impression. Mid-sweet ending. Fair enough (Exeter 27.09.2016).

VastActiv (7592) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 17, 2014
Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Some fruits, dryness, green apples and malts. This one is quite raw in my opinion.

Cask (Kitty’s, Helsinki)
Sweet caramelly malts, hint of coffee in the roast. Copper, opersistent spongy head. Smooth palate, soft carbonation. Simple sweetish bitter. Finish herbal. Simple bitter, but pleasant.

laiti (8513) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 2, 2014
Cask @ Kitty’s, Helsinki. Aroma has bready malt, some toffee and hay. Flavour is rather bready with malt and some grapefruit. Finishes with grassy and some slightly harsh herbal bitterness. A bit watery, the hops are nice though.
