Brewed 3/4/2014

This was our first commercial beer. Brewed on xxxx. It was our homage to the country which made us fall in love with beer. We’ve been fortunate to enjoy many Saisons during our frequent visits to Belgium. We decided we wanted to make a fairly traditional style with simple malt base, but we used some new world hops to give it a contemporary twist.

We were very honoured when Crafty Pint included it in the top 10 Victorian beers for 2014

It's not the best Farm-house style I've had, it's sour, it's spiced, but it lacked punch, it lacked finesse. Exit have made some great stuff, but this needs work, I love saisons, but this just... Needs something.

Bottle from Slowbeer (June 2014). Pale amber/gold, solid, lasting off-white head, saison yeast dominates, very citrusy, slightly horsey, peppery, spiced apple, pears, medium body, smooth, thin texture, refreshing dry finish. A very good saison.

Pours gold with a large head. Nose shows apple, pear, saison yeast, spicy notes, soft light malt. More light clean malt as a flavour along with some spicy phenols and farmhouse notes. Carbonation is much too high.

Looks.. Yellow golden, med white head. Smells..lemon citrus, bready, floral and some white pepper. Tastes..a little tropic fruity, then loads of lemon some herbs and white pepper. Dry finish and a very tasty Au saison.

murky golden brown with dense but thin lacing just after pouring. very light aroma, orange, citrus, honey, first thing i notice while drinking is the carbonation, doesnt look like much but very full mouthfeel when sipping, almost too much. flavour is light malty sweetness, some refreshing citrus, almost a bit watery. All in all not bad for a saison, it has all the characteristics, but lacks in general flavour i find.

On tap at Scratch Bar 010814. This is really a great beer with a a big full body for a saison. Packed with great flavour and it doesn’t feel that high in alcohol. I could drink this all night.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2014 Urine colour. Aroma is very grassy. Taste is fantastic - tangy and fruity esters with a perfect dry finish. Overall, a very good saison.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a straw like bright yellow with big fluffy white head. Nose shows heavy lemon up front, other citrus notes and a slight sweetness. Taste is creamy. Typical saison notes with lemon dominating. Solid stuff.
