COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

330 ml bottle from beer-shop.it served in a tulip glass. Dark ebony, with some purples tinges, and a huge, fluffy, forever lasting light beige head. Excellent lacing. Despite the colour, very typical saison smell: earthy and spicy sweetness, mild yeast interference, light fruitness, and maybe just a hint of roasted components.Perhaps some light funk as well. Unexpected tartness during the first sip, followed by fruity notes, quite hoppy (citrus) and finishing roasted and slightly smoky. Tart, powdery and fruity aftertaste. Average carbonation, light body and dry, creamy texture. Very different from the others dark saison that I tried, but interesting and tasty.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2014 Dark brown color, a generous amount of thick off white foam. Very rich fruity aroma with a lot of grapes and some citrus that comes out as the beer warms up. Taste starts with a nice sourness followed by dark malts, some toasted notes and orange peel. Finishes with a very good resinous, hoppy bitterness. Excellent.

Bottiglia 33cl, comprata da ilbeershop.it è bevuta a casa. Marroncina con copiosa schiuma. Fruttata e secca, peccato non esca quasi torrefatto... Comunque buona ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Bottle drank on the street in Rome, somewhat near to Vatican City. Pours clearish, cola brown with a large, lasting frothy macchiato head. Dry and lightly toasted malts in the nose, with plenty of spicy yeast and faint farmyard. Light sweet flavor, a bit dry, with some burnt grass, light manure, horse blanket and modest leathery fruits. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Super clean on the finish with light brett funk, leather, mellow manure, dry brown bread and spicy yeast. Really drinkable and quite dynamic.

from Erzbierschof - very dark brown beer with a long lasting foam; roasted malts and notes of licorice and black cherries; some spicy hops; light sourish notes; overcarbonated and medium-bodied; moderate sourness, pretty dry and with hints of ashes and more licorice as well in the finish; some lingering fruity hoppiness and corny harshness as well

11/11/12/11/11/12
