COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Licet insanire. L’ingannevole apparenza.

My Bottom Line:
This assertively bitter Tripel stands out due to its generous herbal hopping surrounded by citrusy and estery (banana) angles, all thriving within a creamy, effervescent mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A dollop of foam decorates the cloudy blond-beige.
-That mouthfeel is a mouthful. Looking forward to trying a bottle to see if it’s the same when bottle conditioned.
-Bready yeast flavours also participate.
-The herbal bitterness might be a tad too intense for what I like in the style.
-Malt flavours could be better defined.

Bottle and on tap at Ma Che Siete and at Open Baladin Roma.

2/VI/2012 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: VII/13 (2012-569)

Cloudy dark orange beer, come chunks floating around, big creamy solid white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, peaches, some band-aid, hay, dry, bit of paint, chemical. MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: sweet malts first, bit of sugar, fruity touch, then chemical and grassy bitterness, some grapefruit. Aftertaste: quite some spices, citrus, very dry bitter ending, alcohol is noticeable.

Draught @ Brassierie 4:20 as "Extraomnes tripel tripel." Aroma is a bit offensive with urinal cake, citrus and biscuits. Flavour is somewhat tart with citrus, toffee, apricot and mild spicy tones. Also some alcohol in the aftertaste. Too stuffy and too much alcohol, but not bad still.

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, golden yellow with white foam, I thought this was a pretty nice tripel with a bright candied sugar and melon flavor and aroma, husk finish

330ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. Big fruity aroma is the first thing that you notice when you pour this beer. Also some pepper and cloves in the aroma. Strong honey amber colour with a lazy swirling head of foam. Awesome flavour with a slight alcohol burn in the back of the throat. Good mouthfeel that is full and smooth, this is a very good beer.

Bottle (330 ml). Hazy golden orange with a medium persistent white head and good lacing. Aroma of orange peel, floral notes, spices, malt and alcool notes. Taste is moderately malty with spicy presence, yest, floral presence, orange peel/citrus and sticky finish. Medium/full body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. Astringent. I can understand why some people doesn’t like it (sticky astrengency), but I still think that a very interesting/unusual take on a Tripel and that it’s quite tasty.
