Bottle shared at the Leighton mega 20k tasting. 1/03/2017. Huge thanks to Leighton for this one. A clear copper ruby red brown coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, jammy fruits, cough syrup, cherry. Flavour is composed of semi cherry, woody cherry pips, cherry, little marzipan, little musty. Palate is sweet and sticky, lowish carbonation. Aged pretty well. Cherry bakewell. Leighton (22033) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2017
Bottle shared at the 20k tasting - sourced via trade. Vintage late 1980s - maybe ’87. Pours clear amber with minimal head. Lots of simple cherry candies in the nose, faint wood, very faint caramel. Light sweet flavour with only hints of age, more cherry candies, cough drops, minimal acidity, some wood. Light bodied with almost no carbonation. Finishes with more sweet, juicy cherry, marzipan, faint woody dryness. Quite enjoyable. Doesn’t really show many signs of age. Korcz (3389) - Warsaw, POLAND - DEC 4, 2016
Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Good aroma, taste is not good at all. Not much sweetness, nice Bretts on the nose. Pretty good after all this years. AndySnow (7977) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2016

Clear deep golden/amber no head. Aroma is dusty, damp cellar, cardboard, balsamico, murky wood, some sweet red berries, hints of raisins and leather.
Taste is sour and slight sweet. Finish is sour vinegar notes, hints if raisin, berries, toffee, dry wood, oxidized sherry and cardboard notes, some lingering balsamico notes.
Light bodied, dry texture, no carbonation.
Cool to try but clearly past it’s prime...
A: Clear brown/reddish, no head N: Raisins, oak, plum, cedar T: Plum, oak, raisins, lemon peel O: Very murky and oxidised, decent flavour to it though. _angst_ (4810) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 20, 2016
Bottle courtesy of Maschusch. 1972 vintage. Pours clear deep brownish red with no head worth mentioning. Smell is fruity and of course heavy oxidized with crackers, caramel, light cherries, rotten wood, leather, old forgotten 100 year old barn, raisins, prunes, hay, moist soil and lemon zest. Taste is sour, tiny malty, slightly fruity and leathery. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny oily, tdry, tart and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and sour with crackers, caramel, sour cherries, raspberries, old tobacco, hay, minerals, leather, old barn and lemon zest. Demanding smell but the taste is intriguing. Heavy oxidation has ruined it but it’s also very interesting to experience how that’s happened. deanso (10220) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAR 9, 2016
