Pours mahogany colour with a short lived off white head. Aroma is roasted malt. Taste is slightly sweet with a dry bitter finish. There are notes of roasted malt, barley, coffee, earthy hops, and burnt sugar. Thin bodied and low carbonation. Its like a stout and a bitter had a baby, and then when they realized what it was they locked it in the basement.

Canned. Dark brown body with a medium light brown head. The aroma is very sweet, molasses and candied sugar. The taste is light, with some roasted nuts and a thicker finish.

Smells very faintly of an ale. Pours a dark red brown. Taste is very light. Not much to review. Good carbonation. Overall I thought it was bland and almost tasteless. Will not buy again. MB The Beer Bear-on

googleimage83 (129) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 29, 2016
Pours a dark brownish red with unappealing grey fizzy head; head disappears rather quickly. Malty aroma of caramel, some cherry cola and coffee notes - not much hop character. Somewhat toasty in the mouth - slightly medicinal up front, a bit of malty sweetness and slight coffee in the middle; chalky bitterness in the finish. Not very good.

can. pours unclear light brown, burnt orange, with a small beige cap offering minimal retention and lacing. plain caramel, fruity and nutty maltiness as well, maple syrup unsweetened solids, earthy stone fruits - almost rotten though, astringent woodsy-earthiness - disturbing; metal, clean yeast otherwise, chalk. moderate carbonation, light body - watery; relatively dry spicy-earthy finish. plain, boring and cheap fruity caramel with a strange english-like earthiness. nah.
