typical grassy grainy nose. Flavour is much of the same. the finish is also grassy. the grassiness takes ovver, meh, not a fan. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 12, 2007
straw colored like most pilsners some small amount of head not very lingering, nose of grain and grass, decnt flavour kinda sweet though, not much hops. VeloVampire (625) - Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 7, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2007 341 ml bottle - pours pale greenish gold with delicate champagne-like effervessence and a fluffy white cap. Pretty nice Saaz aroma is balanced very nicely with a sweet malt backbone and some yeast. Taste much the same with a crisp, dry finish. Well-balanced. Good. More of a decent American lager than a pilsner. Not so bad as such but just not as clean or defined as say Neustadt Lager. Certainly lacks hoppy detail for a pilsner, there is some bitterness but it lacks the floral dimensions. Not a go-back beer for me. Beer Snob (501) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2006
Light blonde looks like any other pilsener, but has a reasonably complex and full flavour. Some malt and a nice refreshing finish.

33 cl bottle, Toronto. Pale golden colour, sweet rice/corn/hoppy aroma. Smooth malty flavour, sweet lingering smooth finish. Sanchex (224) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2006
Drank this one weekend at the cottage alongside JR Brickman’s Pilsener and this was by far superior. Very fruity floral hop aroma and flavor. A little on the sweet side keeping the finish from all it could be. Cheers! Slacks (615) - Bolton, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2006
Draught @ Hostex: My due diligence warning - tasting this the day after King’s Pils at the brewery is probably not going to bode well for Stonehammer. Pours nice - vibrant yellow, good carbonation, with a bountiful marshmallow white head. Aroma is of fruit, perhaps apple, with malt. Flavour is very dry with adequate hoppy bitterness, and splashes of sweetness to balance things out. Quite accessible as a pale lager, but not terribly true to style. This pilsner poured a really light yellow colour with a short lived bright white head. To the nose at first came a citrusy wine scent with a little cider thrown in. First sip was hoppy with a imediate bite of hops then a little corn syrup and citrus towards the end. I could also taste a little smoke thrown in. The palate was a lingering hoppyness that lasted quite a while. shintriad (701) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 26, 2006
Draught @ C’est What. Supposedly a new formulation? Scent is yeasty, some apple cider vinegar. Overly sweet up front, but a very long hoppy finish. Excellent lacing. A fine local example.
