Any first impressions?gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2006
-A very pale, translucid, metallic yellow sports a thin film of head.
-Honeyed malt sweetness comprises most of the nose at first.
-Sweet grain envelops the palate along with prickly but scant bubbling.
-The silky malt structure produces a comfortable mouthfeel.
What if you dig deeper?
-A pleasant, gentle wooden hop bitterness rises in the back.
-Some sulphur notes build and take too much room in the flavor spectrum.
-Lactic notes accompany the sulphur in the nose as well, disproportionately.
-All in all, a decent pilsner which could sway the macro drinker towards a label change.
Bottle; no date.
Golden wheat yellow, thick head with heavy lacing. Slightly skunky scent. Very heavy carbonation. Mellow citrus/fuit tastes with a warm aftertaste. A great Session beer. Lubiere (14131) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 17, 2006
Hazy blonde with a thin white head. Maderized honey aroma with light cardboard. In mouth, chalky malt with notes of honey, crisp german hops, and medium body. Boutip (6498) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 4, 2006
Bottle: Poured a dark yellow color pils with a nice bug bubbly white head with pretty good retention. Aroma of crisp hops and nice floral malt are very enjoyable. Taste is quite refreshing with some lightly sweet floral malt and a nice crisp hops finish. Body is a bit too thin and I would have appreciated more carbonation but this is still a very enjoyable pils.

On tap at Phog Lounge, Windsor On. Golden pour. Creamy head, 1cm thick. Nice lacing. Light grain aroma, slight note of lemons. Citrus accented hops stand out in the flavour, grainy malts behind it. Light hop finish. mds (2250) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2005
draught. very light, golden (almost white) body with a small white head. light subtle grass aroma...nothing else. this is really bland and uninteresting - seems to be a trend this evening. light grassy hops also some astringent sweet grains. slight sour notes in the finish. sub-par. blankboy (7792) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 26, 2005
Bottle courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear bubbly gold with a spare white head. Mild aroma and flavour has a nice blend of sweet malt, grain and light hops. I found it tasted better cold and got a little harsh as it warmed up. For a Canadian Pilsener this was a nice surprise, it’s refreshing and quite enjoyable. Bottle. Pale yellow in glass, very little head. Slight hops and sweetness in aroma. Well carbonated, light tingly mouthfeel. Buttery taste - the dominant flavour in my mind, which I rarely can pick out. Hops come in at he end. In between there is a lot of attempted flavour going on, but I find it unbalanced and overly sweet. This made it not quenching or refreshing or even enjoyable on a flavour level. I thought it was a pretty interesting interpretation of a pils, certainly unique o Ontario, and I will try it again as I like this brewery and their efforts and this is getting some very positive reviews. Just not from me I guess. HogTownHarry (7063) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 21, 2005
Bottle (341ml). Thank you, tupalev!. Poured a clear bright gold with some post-pour bubbling and a decent foamy white head. Aroma mildly vegetal, some light sweet malt, very mildly fruity, a hint of fresh-mown timothy. Taste very mild - delicately hopped, cereal grainy without being coarse, still a hint of wheat or hay - very dry, starts slightly flowery sweet and finishes quickly and slightly bitter. Quite surprised - a great pale lager to have on hand for non-obsessive guests and still pleasant enough to enjoy on your patio.
